here me out I did the number s and Jerry West had a very stange draft.... he now has 4 point guards on his roster....(he wants to dump JWill)

Memphis gets ripped on that trade. They could get far more for J Will and Stro. Hell, they could get far more for Stro alone. And anyways J Will would not fit in the offense, he's more of a run and gun type of PG.

the point is that if they want to get rid of J Will they have to package Sto.... sto is only thier back up, Gasol is the PF..... they get a number 1, D George, and a young talented Euro that is not too bad.......J Will would be a back up 15 min max.... were not asking him to win games, just be fast and bring a spark off the bench......

Jerry loves the Lakers, but he would NEVER do this trade.

i like the idea of seein j will in a lakers uniform but i dont think hubie brown is willin to let him go after all the progress and improvemnts j will has shown, i can see hubie tryin to dangle earl watson(out of ucla) in a deal involvin stromile swift but i dont think the lakers need another lifetime backup in watson, they need someone who can come in and start at the pg position i.e gary payton. think about it payton starts and fisher comes in and does the dirty work, then again d fish deserves to start on an nba team. my suggestion is a sign & trade with atlanta dealin d-fish and madsen for j. terry. then this way we get an upgrade defensively, (yes an upgrade) pg who has proven to stop "the cub scout "bibby, plus we geta nother scoring option , then we can go ahead ansd get the pf that we do need i.e howard, brown.

Brevin Knight has the same cap number as J Will.....If you look at the proposal GP is the starting PG

good point....forgot about d fish.....he was originally part of the trade but then mem. would be back with 4 point guards....i definatly think they will unload 1 or even 2 of them....it was a hypothetical, the numbers worked, hopefully Mitch will browse from time to time and get some vision

Due to L.A. Lakers and Memphis being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers and Memphis had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

its just a thought though. i think jerry west would rather much have devean george and frankly i would trade him in a second for mike miller.

I sincerely doubt that West would want George instead of Mike Miller. He traded away his #1 pick from last year, Drew Gooden, and Gordon Giricek for Miller. Somehow I don't think he'll part with him for Mr. George.

Also, why the heck do the Lakers want Jason Williams??? He's not exactly a good defender in his own right. Phil would be beside himself with Eminem on the team.
