We cant even put two good games in a row, teased with a game like Dallas then come homw and play like this.

It was a horrid call but we have only ourselves to blame.... We need to find a way to win without giving Howard the ball in a close game.... He nearly missed the backboard on the second free throw.... :bang:

The Lakers need to devote one damn day just shooting free throws. They are NBA caliber players, yet they cannot hit a freaken free throw.

can't miss 20+ free throws and win. plenty of things went wrong today. both teams shot terrible so the major ones were free throw shooting, turnovers, and that terrible charge call.

good play by duhon and just bs that Crawford called it a block. and called it in such a way that he was like 100% sure it was a block when there's noooo way it could have been.

DWIGHT has got to get better at free throws. shooting 50% is one thing. it's bad but at least it's 1 point per. shooting 25% out of 12 shots is beyond bad. like embarrassing

Actually, I wouldn't be happy at all B. We deserved this loss. Offense was piss pour and I can't stand living by the jumpshot. We made a ton in Dallas against a Dirk-less team and that win is very misleading. Tonight, we died by the jumper and I'm scared that we're going to be seeing this type of polarity the rest of the season. Love the guys efforts, but if you think that Metta, Jamison and Kobe will be shooting the 3 ball at a blistering high clip for the remainder of the season, you're kidding yourselves.

This is why I hate this offense soooo much.

We had no business winning tonight and you can say that the Lakers played bad and that the refs made some bad calls. But lets not act like the Pacers didn't play poorly either. Dwight's D definitely was a factor, but they missed some wide open jumpers of their own. This could have easily been a route for them.

D'Antoni please explain to us why Pau was in the last possession in the ballgame ? Everyone in the world also know that Jordan Hill is faster and a better defender than Pau at that moment so why don't you put Hill in.

Complaints? We lost. (7-8) :man5:

WMC:

-The offense is way too reliant on PG play and 3pt shooting. The point guard/Kobe is relied on too much to create for everyone. If guys are off and Kobe decides to start dominating, shots can't be easily created for others. I think some aspects of the Princeton should have been kept. That offense was a least good at getting guys good shots and didn't rely too much on one player to create everything for the team at all times.

-You live by the 3, you die by the 3. We shot (6-28). A lot of the misses were wide open and kept going in and out.

-Kobe forced the issue a bit tonight but besides Howard, no one else could really contribute offensively.

-Something has to be done about the FT shooting. This is just not going to cut it. We left 20 POINTS at the line tonight. Maybe D'Antoni needs to stress this more in practice or something but something has to be done. We could have iced the game if Metta and Howard didn't clank their FTs.

-Pau is bi-polar. He can't keep deciding to show up every other game. We probably win this game if he puts out the same effort he did against Dallas.

-Crawford must of had money on the game tonight. He tried everything in his power to screw us over tonight. Horrible officiating overall.

While I agree that we should've made FTs, that call for MWP was nowhere near as bad as the blocking foul. That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. And I'm pretty sure the MWP call was the other ref trying to compensate knowing Crawford had F'd us. Bad refereeing leads to bad refereeing. And it wasn't even a clear call the one on MWP. It could've gone both ways

Jamison's missing FTs, I bet that doesn't happen in practice. MWP's always been streaky. Morris is a tool. Hill missing isn't a surprise.

Maybe they need a different shooting coach, but what do you do when the biggest problem is mental? Maybe that's where Phil could've helped.. Maybe we need to bring a therapist or something.

Howard takes just as much time to shoot each FT as Wilt Chamberlain. About 3 seconds flat. Like he doesn't care. No wonder they miss all the time. I bet he takes a lot longer in practice.

We had the same problems last year with the offense. We lack shooters in the starting lineup; and unfortunately, the shooters we signed in the offseason (Meeks, Jamison) weren't able to get it going tonight. I know that's the understatement of the year.

It was a horrid performance. Turnovers, missed free throws, horrible shooting. If this offense is going to work we need more shooters and guys that can get up & down the floor. This roster just isn't going to cut it in D'Antoni's system.

Pau is way too passive. He had some decent stretches; then when he does, Pau completely makes you forget it by doing something that makes me want to throw something at my TV. Unfortunately, Nash isn't going to fix that; he needs to be traded.

The team is still too way too dependent on Kobe, obviously. The game was close and as I figured Kobe is the only one you can go too in those situations. He ran P&R with Pau one possession, it resulted in a turnover because of Pau's passivity, he played pick & roll with Dwight, Dwight attacked got fouled and clanked two free throws.

We need Nash back in those instances to setup Kobe and be another ball handler, shooter, automatic from the stripe, etc. He won't fix all our problems, but he will be another guy we can depend upon in the last 2-3 minutes of a game to make the CORRECT decisions...

Love Dwight and all that, but I'm not a fan of watching him smile and laugh while he's costing his team every night at the line. He's been terrible at it for years and there is no indication that it will ever improve.

To make it even more frustrating, a career scrub in Ian Mahimi made a huge impact for his team off the bench simply by knocking down free throws.

Where to begin? Dwight's free throwing, that would be a good place to start. He might very well be the worst free throw shooter I've ever seen. 25% from the line. That won't ever get it done and if you do that as one of the main players for your team you are sinking the team singlehandedly, which is basically what he did. I know the rest of the players didn't shoot well from the line either, but let's face it, bad free throwing is contagious and it all started tonight with D12. So I give him most of the blame for this one.

The bench also sucked mightily and so did the refs. But D12 sank us for sure in my opinion. You can't go 3 for 12 from the line and think it's not going to hurt your team. It did in a big way.

I'm frustrated but i think we'll be okay...we probably played the worst we could possibly play and still were in it at the end.

we have no nash and starting a 3rd string PG. i think for offensive once nash and blake are back itll be better for setting the pace and getting easier points.

just gotta make free throws and turn it over less.
