Actually TWC had a long shot of his face. It was crazy.

Good to see that I am not the only one who feels annoyed by that.

Kobe has totalled less blocked shots than Steve Nash. In fact, he hasn't blocked a shot all season long!

Dallas played atrocious, but remember, they just beat the Knicks. Yeah, Knicks lost to Houston, but whatever. We've seen how good we can be.

We did fix things--we attacked early and didn't give them time to adjust their defense. Just gotta stay familiar with this kind of play and the sky's the limit.

Good to see that I am not the only one who feels annoyed by that.

They missed a ton of wide open looks. I'm not really sure this game, while I'm excited for the win, is really a blueprint for what we are going to be or what we want to be. But hey, I'll take it!

But yeah, this game LA obviously played well, but Dallas played horribly, candidate for worst of their season when all is said and done. So you hope LA learns from it just the same, but I'd call it a wash.

We were desperate for a win and got it. Winning big always helps though

I posted this in another thread...Dallas is 4th in the league in scoring at 102 a game we held them to 89. They shoot 46% for the year we held them to 37. They scored only 38 at the half. They were shooting 31% at one time when we held a 37 point lead midway thru the 3rd. We were killin them. Teams like Dallas, Phoenix and Houston whom we've blown out are potential 1st round playoff opponents. Any win in a butt kicking over such teams is an encouraging sign

A large reason for our defense being so dominant tonight was Dwight. He inspired Pau, Hill and Jamison to contest shots at the rim, MWP and Kobe were awesome in the perimeter as well. At few times inside Brand got blocked or drew 3second calls because of the Dwight intimidation factor. He wasn't his usual self on offense and he still struggled a little bit but it went under the radar because his defense was phenomenal (Which is his primary role anyways) and we need that way more than his offense

Kobe needs to facilitate more instead of trying to force the shots. If there's no Steve Nash to run the offense, then he should play that role and score when needed

He's been facilitating all year long minus those two straight games where the team came out flat in Sactown and Mem.

On a side note, we need to hire the Suns medical staff, Im sure cheapazz Suns owner doesnt pay them well. They resurrected Michael Redd's career last year and now Jermaine O'Neal is killing it off the bench...8points, 5.3 rebounds. 1.8 blocks in 18 minutes

to be fair here O'Neal is doing well because he finally talked with Kobe and he gave O'Neal the hookup for that Germany procedure.

I remember when the Lakers schedule and practice for O'Neal to see if they wanted to sign him and everyone that was there said he looked rejuvenated.

My only WMC is Jordan Hill not getting many minutes. Other than that last night was a picture perfect performance by the Lakers.

So in your immanent wisdom on all things basketball you thought that Dallas was playing good or even adequate defense?..... They were flat from the beginning. If MWP doesn't shoot lights out on wide open 3's we might have been in for a much closer game.

Our defense was decent last night but theirs was horrendous.... it is what it is.... not sure how you could even make a plausible argument that Dallas was playing even decent defense....

Detroits effort against us was equally horrid....

We played a decent game.... we changed up our rotations, shortened the stretches and got amazing shooting from MWP and Jamison.... we still didn't get a lot from Howard and Pau.... they were decent compared to the previous two games but still not where they need to be for this team to compete against the top teams....

When we win a game shooting 43% or less by 10 points I'll say we are playing great defense....

Oh.... one last thing... you do know what this tread is for don't you.....

win or lose, this is gonna be a busy thread tonight so i figured i'd give it a bump so you guys can find it easier.

What's the lowest point total in Lakers history? We might be on pace right now.
