2. Bench Morris and sub in Duhon instead.

duhon showed more playmaking skills in 3min than morris did in whole career...

Brown has no clue. Putting starters back in. Playing 2 X PG rotation, refusing to play Meeks.... wow.

Duhon has 3 assists in under 4 minutes, plays very well and is super quick. But no, let's play Morris/Ebanks rotation as much as possible.

Happy to get that 1st win - even if it was against the Washington Generals.

Mike Clown's rotations and the bench still suck. It was embarrassing when the starters had to go back in.

Hill took a beating - hope he's OK.

Duhon was more comfortable with the bench unit. He also ran the pick n roll... and MB will probably bench his butt because of it

solid win but nothing to take for granted. Detroit was just that bad.

Darius Morris played a decent first half but was terrible in the second half.

But seriously honest to God, people in Staples Center including myself thought the bench was gonna blow that 30 point lead they looked really bad in 2nd half outside of Jordan Hill here and there. Crowd was poppin for 3 quarters and 1st half of 4th Q they were groaning and moaning and everything our bench did.

Morris couldn't get by his man, he did very little in 2nd half. Ebanks was a total dud. Jamison wasn't knocking down his outside shots and he took only 4 shots. Sacre had a couple of bad turnovers. If Mike Brown didnt' bring the starters back in I think it would've come down to single digits and they would've had a ton of momentum. He needs to put in the right players, play Meeks already, GEEZE. He doesn't commit turnovers, hes the best SG defender after Ebanks and Kobe and he can hit 3s, Brown is too stubborn for some reason

Dwight and Pau looked dominant in 1st half like they should.

Brown did a couple of things nicely...he STFU during play. Usually he'd be walking up and down the sideline barking instructions, he just sat in his chair and let the players play the whole game. He plugged in MWP to bring some offense to second unit. It worked tonight because he was fresh and wasn't chasing other SG/SF around screens all day but you cant put him next to Ebanks, both are inconsistent shooters

Hes gotta play Meeks, he offers way too much flexibility and relief in 3s/TOs/D to just ride the pine the whole game

And the tacos have never been this satisfying

Great stuff. I always find first-hand experiences like these interesting. A lot of people are going to disagree with you here on Mike Brown bringing back the starters though.

i get more pleasure out of this than i should.

^ well its a consequence of having a wrong lineup.. I think the 4th Q lineup in the beginning was Sacre/Hill/Jamison/Ebanks/Morris which is really bad. He should've had Artest in there with that group or Meeks, Ebanks just didnt have it today. Lots of turnovers, poor defense got the lead down and it looked like the Pistons were gonna come back against an all bench unit

Q1 - 34/13
Q2 - 28/21
Q3 - 24/21
Q4 - 22/24


Only +8 from the 2nd quarter until the end of the game. I'm a little concerned considering the scrubs that would usually skew this playing garbage minutes, are in the regular rotation, and the people that closed the last 4 minutes of the game (besides Clark/Sacre) should be in the regular rotation.

We got a win, but I still have concerns going up against top teams with starters minutes and rotations.

That length/defensive unit must be really killing it, if we have two guys leading the league in +/- and we've been down double digits in 3 out of the 4 games.

Brown is a "stats" guy, he will see this and surely make the adjustment.............to Kobe/Pau playing more.

How can the bench be productive when they never have any consistency to their rotations? How can they ever figure out their roles?

^^ This is the problem. Another problem is that when Brown states what his consistent rotations are going to be upcoming as he did yesterday, they aren't plans that are going to be successful. He didn't play Meeks because he said he wouldn't. He played Ebanks at the 2 instead. He played Morris rather than Duhon at the backup PG just as he said he would. And he wants to keep rolling with that. So in an effort to get consistent he is going to bring on consistently bad rotations. I just don't see how the management can continue to put up with this.

Brown was given a bench that could be good - if he played the guys at their appropriate positions, and only played Morris when it's a blowout win or loss.

When Nash is healthy he's got Blake at PG who is better so far than he was last year, Meeks at SG, Ebanks at 3, Jamison at 4, and Hill at 4/5 depending. I would not even feel uncomfortable platooning that squad the way Phil used to. You could sub in those 5 and get away with it for several minutes. Then start rotating in starters . . .

Morris shouldn't be getting any burn at all with this team struggling. Duhon has looked good in preseason and when he's played so far.

Even then, if it were me I'd be trying to trade to upgrade that PG position, but that doesn't seem as much of a problem as the fact that Brown is refusing to play Meeks at 2, refusing to play Ebanks at 3 and refusing to play Jamison at 4 where they all belong.
