My only complain is that the offense is awful when Kobe and Pau are not on the floor. We need at least Pau to create something offensively, there rest of the team just isn't capable of doing it.

My WMC is for Andy Adler and whoever her intern is: Do a better job of selecting tweets that appear on the TWSportsnet ticker!

I swear I just saw this one scroll on the bottom of the screen:

"UGLIEST GAME IVE EVER SEEN BUT #SHOWTIME IS BACK BABY! #LAKESHOW"

:bang: What does that even mean?

That's funny, Brown ended up being fired by page 126. :man10:

:man10: I knew the bet was over firing Mike Brown, but I didn't know the timing/conditions of it.

I don't blame you realdeal, betting on ClubLakers panic is playing with house money. "Bad beat" as they say... :man10:

Definitely happy with the win but the only reason game was close was because of all the missed free throws. We got a few lucky calls go our way (finally right?) and our defense was solid down the stretch.

My WMC: Right now our guys are getting hacked and beat the hell up in the paint. Evens had 11 rebounds but I think 10 were off of fouls, holds and cheapshots. Im glad our guys are playing through it though.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

If we made them, the game would have been a blowout...and Pringles would have had something close to his 115 pts. Something drastic has to happen with Dwight and his horrendous foul shooting. He's worse than Shaq and Kwame too.

Free throws were the main WMC. Dwight was the main culprit but everyone was in on the act. We win by double digits easily if we take care of business at the line.

Other WMC was Reggie Evans' flopping. I'm not kidding when I say the NBA should suspend guys like Reggie Evans who flop as badly as he does. It makes a mockery of the game. When it's that obvious of a flop and there's literally not a shred of debate about it ... it should result in a suspension.

If they don't fine Reggie Evans for that awful flop he (sadly successfully) pulled on MWP, I'm going to lose faith in this new rule.

That wasn't even an attempt at trying to sell contact. The only way to describe it would be "deception" or "trickery" and that's exactly what the league office wanted to crack down on with this rule.

Refs were pretty horrible tonight.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Just a weird game to watch all around. Kobe had that ridiculously hot start then kind of fizzled, but ultimately won the game down the stretch. Dwight played well for the most part but had a monumentally bad free throw shooting night. Reggie Evans, you want to admire his hustle, but his flopping is disgraceful. Deron Williams was abusing Morris so badly, and getting tick tack fouls all day long.

Just a grind it out sort of game, not the most entertaining to watch, but you can't be disappointed with the win, or with how much things have improved in Lakerland.

That was awesome. Now I know why realdeal was posting those pictures... I thought it was a joke I was missing out on but... he lost that bet handily. Only 112 pages. Mike Brown got the boot even sooner than most of us expected, especially after Jim Buss came out supporting him sounding like he was giving Mike at least a few more games. :man10:

My WMC:

1. Darius Morris got 2 phantom fouls called on him and then got leveled in the back court with no call. That was disgraceful officiating there. We did benefit from a blatant missed goaltending by Dwight, maybe they were trying to even out the bad calls or something.

2. Bad free throw shooting, missing those gimmes will cost us games. Dwight was something like 7/19, terrible. He has to improve.

That screen where Morris got KTFO was actually legit...his teammates needed to let him know he was being setup for that.

flopping is stupidest thing in today's game. all these all star point guards in the league play to refs instead of just playing ball. they drive and just throw their head back everytime looking for a call. it's so weak...it's like have some respect for the game.

and how can a 6'8'' + 250lb+ fall down and fall into the crowd after a tiny little bump. it's ridiculous. I think a fine is a good idea but it doesn't effect the game...they still got the call. if a game 7 was on the line I think a $5K fine is worth it for players so they'll do it. I do think keeping track if it by fining them will allow refs to know who flops and who doesn't and thus control their whistle. also maybe a warning for flopping in the game and the 2nd is a T. that would give players one chance and if not they get a T so it actually affects the game their in and get fined. have to be serious otherwise players won't be about flopping.

That was a blatant flop with MWP. If he has been warned twice, then he will most defiantly get fined this time. And I do not care how much Stu creams in his pants for his hustle, a flopper who hustles cancels his hustle out with his flops. And he shall be executed to the maximum.
