To me, we still have a better chance of winning with Kobe as our #1. If we could get a young player who can create a shot for himself and defend, and fill our roster out with other young, 2-way pieces, I think we do better.
You are correct about Dwight and ORL, but it's not working here. He can't create his own shot. We need a trade for a 2-way, young, shot-creating player.
In today's game a team with a center as the leading offensive player won't win a championship. At best a very good center is a complementary scorer. Howard has so many holes in his game that he will have issues being consistently effective. This is more or less what he's done in his career... Big offensive game....a couple less than average ons...big one again and so on. The position, the way defenses are allowed to play and the quality of wing players have all but ended the era of the big man.
