I'd shop Blake, Meeks, Nash, and Pau by the trade dealdline. They can all go for all I care.

As bad as yesterday was, I don't think we're that bad. We're a bad team overall but not that bad. Wednesday was a fluke in the positive direction and yesterday was a fluke in the negative direction.

^^Our team will live and die by the 3 point shot. GS is essentially the same way. When two teams that are predicated on that meet it will end like this more than not. Miss a 3.... long board... run... 3 point shot and so on. The one that makes the most will give up the least. We were terrible in the deciding 12 minutes of the game and basically played them even after that.

It will be that way all year.

Pretty much this. I thought the first quarter decided the outcome as well.

We look like the Phoenix Suns circa 2006-09, minus Nash. Despite the league turning more towards a run 'n gun style of play, we cannot rely on it to win through the Playoffs (if we are to get there). It will be fun when we're winning and when we're at home. It's going to get ugly for the others.

I wish D'Antoni could run more sets out of the post. Through Pau. Not necessarily to get him a shot, but to use his passing. We really don't have a backup plan on offense when our pick n roll/drive kick offense isn't working.

One-dimensional coach + a roster with only 2 (old and slow) players who should be starters in the NBA = a long and painful season. :bang:

Nailed it, we have no post game what so ever, jump shooting teams always fail, I suppose the Knicks did some what well the last few years, even then it's not too impressive... It doesn't help that when we are or will eventually get into a close game, until Kobe comes back, we don't have any go to player.

Nash-Blake-Young-Williams-Gasol is the expected line up for LAL. Duncan listed as “doubtful” for Spurs w/a chest contusion.

Who wants to bet we come out flat looking like s***?

Nash, Blake and Young couldn't get any worse defensively.

Would that line up be different if Duncan were playing? Is Pop already resting the big 3?

Williams has gotten Griffen, Lee and maybe Duncan at the PF spot to start the season. :man10:

Eh, we're going to have a lot more difficulty with Parker, Leonard, and Green. At least we have two 7 foot bodies for Duncan.

That being said, this can only help us tonight.

Clippers went through a bunch of interesting changes. I don't make too much of that W.
Meanwhile, GS is a legit indication of what they're going to be. We have some work to do.

No denying that Duncan MIA is a good thing. Meant to emphasize the part that they have other effective players, particularly ones in positions where we dont have guys who can really put up a fight.

I can't watch Nash / Blake / Pau play anymore. One should retire, the other is just trash and the other just shoots jumpshots.

Farmar / Henry / Hill / Johnson / Meeks / Kaman should be getting the majority of minutes right now. Not the 3 mentioned above. :bang:

^^^^absolutely agree.
And btw that 3 guards at the same time on the floor sh** IS NOT WORKING.
Hill didn't even get 1 minute playing time for no reason, and Pau is just shooting 3's and long 2's.
I'm so pissed, starters should be bench, and bench should start, simple.

It's pretty depressing when you have to mention Meeks should be getting the majority of minutes considering the bad rep he's got on here.

Died by the three.....

Nash is done

No one can shoot.

Leaving perimeter shooters open..... Only thing we're doing consistently this year.

One quick question, do we have the worst starting lineup in the entire NBA this season ?

Pau Gasol - Shawn Williams - Nick Young - Steve Blake - Steve Nash
Michael Jordan : "My Chicago team are the all-time greatest"
Magic Johnson : "Put me with Kareem, James Worthy, Cooper and Byron Scott, and we'd dominate your Bulls team"

On the good side, Wesley Johnson had his best game yet as a Laker. Unfortunately he got exposed as a 4 defensively against a bigger guy in fat old Diaw who worked him over. I don't know, MDA's lineups drive me kind of insane. Nash looked horrible tonight.

This was a game we should have won. Not enough Hill out there, not enough Farmar earlier on. Hill should play more minutes in general. Spurs really executed down the stretch. We did not. Kept it close, but not good enough to get it done. We had our chances.

I don't know, but they aren't very good collectively at all. I said it was going to be a problem in the first gameday thread of this regular season. But tonight they surprised me with a great first quarter, especially defensively which was pretty amazing. Not sure they have a whole lot in the tank though. 2nd quarter and on they looked awful again.
