The only example you provided was one that demonstrated how completely you missed my point, i.e., that no one on this roster has any business being a starter in the NBA.

Hill / Kaman could easily be starters on other teams.

Kaman, when healthy, is probably one of the top 8 big men in the game.

He should start here.

Starters and bench to me means little..... The mix of players on the floor at any given time is the important thing that seems to be missing.

Those were some good freakin times. Kobe was about to get his first post-Shaq title after losing to the celtics the year before. Kobe was on top of his game, playing with perfect scoring and passing balance, Ariza was hitting his 3's and ballin, Odom was the best he'd ever been for us, Fisher was his clutch self, and Pau was making Dwight look silly on both ends.

Did you guys really think we were gonna be a competitive team? Our 3 best players are our 3 oldest, Kobe is coming off a major injury, the rest of the roster is young but the talent is not really there to do well in West and we were banking on multiple players to have phenomenal career seasons. Band aid project by Mitch with guys who's names carry weight. I'm not gonna complain, hope we land a top 5 draft pick

I think we will get a lottery pick, with Kobe coming back from a serious injury achilles tendon surgery and need times before his body get back into shape, Pau Gasol has been self of himself and ridiculously underperformed this season while Nash continues to suffer from injury and recovering, both Pau and Nash look physically incapable and done, so I am really started to think that we might not be able to make it into playoffs this season, the Western conference is so deep and so competitive, on top of my head I can already think of there are 9 teams out there in the west that are better than us

- Thunders, Spurs, Warriors, Clippers, Rockets, Memphis, Minnesota, Dallas and Blazers

Heck you could even argue and make a case that the Pelicans, Nuggets and Suns are better than us also in the West.

I really can't see how we are gonna be a competitive and hanging around .500 all season long with our current rosters at the moment, we have the worst defense in the league and this season could get ugly fast, so yes lottery is a strong possibility in the case of the Lakers this year.

Well, that is my WMC. :man11: I can't watch this game anymore! Even Stu Lanz called them the "Horn--Pelicans" just now. Why don't we call the next team the Turkeys, or the Goldfish or something.

Me neither. D' Antoni finally getting the rotation together, playing guys in their appropriate positions where they can succeed and voila, they did just that. Now keep up the good rotations. I'd still like to see either Young or better yet Henry in with the starters at the 2, but I can live with Meeks there for now. At least Blake is at the 1, Hill is starting at 4 and Johnson is playing the three! That's all great to see.

I got something.....keep attacking the rim! Just get rid of the 15+ attempts from 3 point range. Luckily we made em tonight, but we need to stop relying so heavily on it. If they come off of good ball movement, then so be it, but look for the higher percentage attempts inside first.

I'm just happy our guys showed a pulse out there and did to them, what they did to us a couple games back!

I agree.
I don't mind the 3's if, and I mean only if, they come off of penetration. When our gaurds and our bigs are attacking the paint we get quality looks from outside. Those shots I don't mind. When we settle for the dribble-dribble-dribble-what'sapass-shoot-three then we can't be successful. I agree with you though, they can't rely on the 3.

We have to show up with energy every game that is for damn sure.

I really can't remember the last time I saw such a great effort by this team - for an entire 48 minutes, yet!

Hope it continues.

Our guys are good enough to play well at home, and occasionally on the road if the motivation is sufficient. But they don't have the ability to play well on the road, and not enough star power to get calls on the road. So if we can stay right around .500 until Kobe comes back, I'll say they are living up to expectations.

My WMC is that we won. Seriously, what good is a win for us? We're not going anywhere this season. The only good outcome is a good lottery pick. Unless you think we're gonna make the playoffs and do some damage, the fewer wins the better.

And look, I hate seeing them lose like everyone else here. The sun rises and sets on the Lakers as far as I'm concerned. But after watching Wiggins, Parker and Randle BEAST tonight, I can't help but wonder what the hell the Lakers are thinking.

My WMC: the bounce passes.

I know it looked great last night, but good teams adjust to them. The PG drops down and we get picked off. It's happened over and over again against better teams. Pick and roll is great and all, but we need variation. Even if it's just variation in the type of passes off the initial pick action.

Jack Nicholson and all high rollers that pay the big dollars and Time Warner and Kobe Bryant when he's back, like it or not, would tell you to GTFO with that kind of attitude. Just sayin'.
