WMC 12/13: Mercy kill. (0-4)

The analysis, commentating, announcing whatever the hell you want to call it was unbearably bad tonight. I could hardly watch the game with Steve DERR spewing all the crap he did with his uninformed/ignorant a**. AND I ONLY WATCHED HALF THE GAME! I still don't understand how these big stations (TNT/ESPN) are allowed to be so blatantly biased with their clear agenda on NATIONAL TV!

It's just sickening.

no playoffs this year... most disappointing season ever that i can recall... first move lakers need to do... jim buss no longer have any say in any hirings or moves... none what so ever... next move... either jerry does full time work again or have jeanie take charge...next move... if keeping same coach... do some roster moves that suits his style of play... no more of this square block in a round hole crap...

Dwight makes me miss Bynum...and I hated Bynum....Shaq tried harder than that. Benoit Benjamin tried harder than that. C'mon that was pathetic. If you can't play then don't play. Instead did nothing all night. Utterly useless tonight. That bum wants a max deal...go friggin' earn it.

Their is absolutely no way they let Jim Buss go.... not a chance we need to live with the disaster just like Dodger fans did with McCourt.

What a joke. The FO has turned my favorite franchise into the laughing stock of the nba.

The stupid coach hirings. The acquisition of an old worn out pg for 10 million a year. You guys realize that we're now making the same kind of expensive mistakes that NY did for years. I'm not completely against the Dwight signing, since even though he's not the stud we hoped he'd be, he's better than Bynum out with injury all year. But we need to flip him for better pieces next year. His problem is that he's a Rodman bb-wise, not a Shaq, but he's demanding a Shaq role. And a Shaq salary. We need a true star, offensively and to a lesser extent defensively, to build around, and Dwight is not it. He's a big diva because he believes his own hype, not because he's earned it on the court. Don't get me wrong, he's a great piece of the championship puzzle, but a great team needs an additional Kobe and Pippen-type to be successful. I doubt that he can be convinced of this in time.

I didn't say for them to let him go. I just said they need to change up his duties and focus on the food and beer tabs instead of what coaches to hire

If any evidence comes out that Howard sabotaged the game tonight.... what do the Lakers do before the trade-deadline? they still have enough time to form trade talks regarding Howard and we all know.... a 3-team deal is the most likely path if the Lakers decide to move him before the Trade deadline.

Horrific defense this game, but everyone needs to chill out. If we win tomorrow we will be back on track. If we can somehow win the Miami game on Sunday, that would make this a terrific road trip.

If we play anything like we did tonight though we have no shot against Miami. Ill reserve judgement until then.

Without Pau for 6-8 weeks or the FO making any moves, this might be a very difficult 2nd half of the season...

I can't see us getting back on track with an injured Howard and no Pau. Sure maybe if we'd traded Pau for some players that could contribute, but we lost him and gained nothing, that hurts.

Don't be too upset. Celtics are actually a good team now that Rondo's out.

Although I don't think this game is some huge regression. We're adjusting to Pau being out, and the Celtics shot unconscious in the third quarter. Meanwhile we couldn't seem to buy a jumpshot. It frustrated the Lakers, and that's how it goes some nights.

Somehow I think he'd screw that up too. Time to focus on the Kings and get ready for the Dodgers season.

Absolutely brutal. I feel like this is the beginning of the end.

It's been the beginning of the end for weeks now really. Lakers clearly look better as a team overall, but it's just too little too late barring some serious stroke of good fortune, but with injuries to Pau and lingering stuff going on with Dwight and who knows who else, our luck is bone dry. Just a cursed season from the start.

I'm not ready to call it yet, this might just be a setback from having to adjust without Pau and throwing Dwight+garbage Ron out there. If they win tomorrow and somehow beat Miami all will be well. If they win tomorrow and lose to Miami they might have some life. If they lose both games though...season is done.

Yup. Time to focus on next year. This is where management needs to learn to blow it up during the bad season, not after.

i swear, this team is a bunch of trolls.

Playing from behind all game really sucks, so does having to use the scorecenter app. Couldn't find my remote to catch the last few seconds.

Never been less impressed with a win. The only satisfaction I take from this win is seeing this Bobcats team choke after puffing out their chests, jumping around and celebrating like they were hot stuff and thinking they had us beat and then blowing it and being stunned, that's it. That and not having to see a certain group of posters pop up to blame it all on Kobe. Other than that we should never have been down 20 to one of the most pathetic teams in the NBA in the first place, the defense was a joke most of the game, the effort was a joke, and if we play this way against Miami we'll lose by 50.
