I'm just speaking the truth. I was referring to the loss columns, and the Lakers (33 losses) are 2 losses behind Utah (32 losses) since they own the tiebreaker pending the outcome of their game tonight.

It's definitely a concern. Your team shouldn't be incapable of winning back to backs regardless of age. I wonder if any playoff team in NBA history has gone an entire season without winning a single game on the 2nd of a back to back.

Didn't we beat NOH on a b2b?

We've won on the second night of a b2b, we just haven't swept a b2b.

Yes we did. On Dec 5 the Lakers beat the Hornets on the second game of a b2b.

we havent won both games of a back to back. its either win one and lose one or lose both. theyve won 5 1st games, 5 2nd games and both 3 times so theyre just bad in general. pretty much half of our losses are from back to back games.

Anyone want to talk about the use of Scola at the elbow?

I thought that was a HUGE tactical win for the Suns to close things out. He basically gave them what Pau gives the Lakers. Inside spacing to allow dribble penetration, and take away shot blocking. Step back in, and he makes you pay with a smooth jumpshot. Not that Scola can do that every night, but it definitely iced LA out.

I don't know what goes through Antoni's head sometimes. It was CLEAR as day that they didn't have their legs under them. We have struggled ALL FREAKING SEASON on the 2nd night of a b2b. We don't have much youth and it's well known to anyone that pays attention that age is the reason we struggle. Yet Antoni insisted on running a 7 man rotation for the 2nd night in a row, ON THE ROAD.

Ffs Antoni stop being so damn f'n stubborn.

Clark gets lost defensively way too often. It is very annoying. We got a break though since Knicks won.

It's not just you. They have terrible bball IQ. Add Jordan Hill (who I really like btw), Darius Morris and Ebanks to the list of dumb players we have.

I guess I'll have to be the Meeks apologist here. I think he has too quick a trigger sometimes, but when he makes moves inside the 3 point line, he actually does make good things happen. I don't see him as some really dumb player. He does okay, and needs to continue to improve his game. But as a bench player to come in and spark something? He's fine!

MWP also isn't a fool. Basketball is in his veins, and while always human, he can sometimes come up with some absurd sequences that help the team. I hate his weird [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] offense like anyone else, but he's not as dumb as those moves make him seem.

It was a bad game all around, but lighting Meeks up as being a dumb player... I don't know. Jamison was invisible and turned the ball over, but he's a high IQ player. Nash had TO problems. Clark can't score, etc.

Jodi does his job, and makes decent decisions in a lot of bang bang scenarios. He's okay, IMO.

Actually since this is WMC:

*Jamison completely disappeared. 23 minutes, 1/6 with 3 turnovers. That hurt, BAD.

*Dwight Howard putting up brick after brick in the paint was brutal to watch.

*Earl Clark with 30 minutes didn't do much. Though I do think Dwight took a few of his usual elbow jumpers away.

*Nash needs to stop turning the ball over on the same damn PnR play.

*Metta going 5/17 sucked. But 5 steals isn't bad. Pass.

I guess we can add Phoenix to the list of places we get routinely smashed.

Denver, Portland, Utah, Sacramento... No matter how good or bad their overall record. That's 10 automatic losses per year.

i'd like to thank kobe and his ballhogging ways for sparing me from more games like last night's. at least kobe's bad shots not going in makes sense. how an entire team full of professional basketball players can miss that many wide open shots is truly flabbergasting. flabbergasting, i tell you!

Chicken or the egg. Did Kobe shoot so much because he saw that no one could hit their shots, or could no one hit their shots because Kobe went away from team ball which took them out of rhythm?
