Got killed by poor transition D and pretty much Westbrook. Had no one to guard him and had no one either to make him work on the defensive end.

OKC put us behind them last season and will never look back .... their roster is a perfect fit for today's NBA , ours far from it ...

Transition D and our usual inability to keep Westbrook around his usual offensive efficiency remain the reasons why we are no match for the Thunder...

I really don't think we'll ever be able to beat OKC with regularity playing in a run and gun style. They're more suited to it. To do that, we'll have to outscore them and I just don't see that happening on any regular basis.

Kobe and Dwight played an awesome game, but beside the poor defense, they both did a horrific job of taking care of the ball.

^^^I agree. The Thunder are too young and athletic to run against. We would've been better off playing at the pace we played against them in the playoffs.

Maybe just against teams like the Thunder or Heat, D'Antoni can adjust the pace to a slower one so we can better limit the turnovers thus decreasing OKC's fastbreak opportunities.

On the year...OKC shoot a higher percentage than they shot against us today. A small difference but a difference never the less.

Maybe this would be better served in the optimistic thread.

Yeah the Pacers, Warriors, Hawks, Bulls, Bucks, Nuggets, Rockets, Jazz, Timberwolves, and Mavs all have better or similar records with one or two less losses than we do and we look far more better on paper than they all do combined.

Yeah, I actually thought he was talking about Kobe because the previous poster said he's give anyone not named Dwight to get Westbrook.

When you got it, flaunt it. I used to love it when Kobe would flap his jersey but it's been a while since he's done that.

As tough as it was to watch them out run and out gun us for most of the game, there were some positives to take away. Our guys didn't quit. We battled back and I liked to see a little of the old Ron there at the end when Chewbacca had him wrapped up. Jodie Meeks has definitely got some heart, too. Kobe we all know has no quit in him. Dwight never gave up either. I like Duhon's late three pointer also. We were outmanned, but I look forward to seeing these guys again when we're at full strength.

The difference is Kobe has 5 rings to Westbrook's 0 so he has the right to be that way
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

also westbrook doesn't show any TRUE basketball skills or talent, the only reason he's able to make plays is because of his athleticism, hardly a true Houdini like nash, magic, rondo.

when this guy hits 30, i believe hes going to be done.

He's a good player but one of the most punchable, annoying players to watch. Worst body language in the NBA.

Um no. Westbrook is about as hard a worker as there is. His shot has improved 10 fold since he entered the league. He had to fight and claw his way to be where he was. He wasn't even a sought after prospect out of highschool

Westbrook will be fine at 30 because he'll continue working his butt off like he has since he was a child

People on here hate him because he bends the lakers over. Truth is he is about as competitive as they come, leaves his heart and soul on the court and plays with incredible reckless abandon

This same excuse was given for Lebron when he was younger. Hes just an athlete, he'll never be as good as Kobe

Fast forward to 2012 when Lebron boasted the statistically most efficient post game in basketball, a consistent mid range jumper, and tore of the playoffs like he was michael

Westbrook is good, no hes great, and he's great because he fights everyday to be great. Kobe respects the hell out of him and so do I
