So, at what point does this season truly become LOL. They're going to be completely out of the playoffs contention very soon(I think they already basically are even if they look decently close to the 8th seed) It's already been basically the worst season of Lakers basketball I've ever seen, some of the worst basketball I've ever seen at the professional level all around, but at least there is still the lip service of pretending to have an objective(though not actually appearing to care/work for it). Pretty soon the team is bound to just give up entirely, scrap the season and go back to enjoying their lives as multimillionaire athletes who live in southern california.

I'm at a loss for words...

At this point I'm just waiting for Mitch and Co. to make something happen. But my dreadful suspicion is that they're not going to do anything, just save Pau's expiring for next season, and reload for the 2014 plan.

And that is really disappointing in my current state of mind...which is absolute fury atm.

This just doesn't work, any of it, all of it. You can't put all the blame on the coach, you can't put all the blame on the players, it's a combination of everyone, I have no explanation for it, I have no answer to fix it. It's stunning, shocking, confusing, I never thought we'd be in this position back in September/October.

Maybe the Lakers will end up in the lottery and get a great prospect to play alongside Clark, Howard, Kobe, and Nash next season.

This road trip is going to be brutal, and hopefully it signals Jim Buss making yet another coaching change. If anything, just give the reigns to Bickerstaff for the rest of the season.

Didn't even watch this one and it still hurts to check the score after. 17-24...wow. Even the 02-03 Lakers that started 11-19 got to 24 losses much later.

i'd say we fire sale it up, but we have nothing tradeable with a decent contract except dwight and a couple guys.

If I'm the Lakers, I'd look to trade Howard, not Pau. Dwight may walk next year anyway, and if Gasol is gone they'd be left with nothing. So disappointing to watch the Lakers right now. They sucked the life out of me, and I'm just an analyst. Can't imagine how Laker fans feel.
