The Jones/Van Exel squads would run circles around this team. Those teams were not terrible by any means, they were competitive, just not contenders. You had Vlade, Elden, Havasu, they at least competed.

wmc: turnovers continue to be an issue. i really thought that nash's return would change that, if nothing else. it hasn't. this team gives away points on live ball turnovers like crazy. could have won by a lot tonight if they hadn't coughed the ball up for runouts.

That was a decent game.... Utah missed a few... we still were sloppy at times but that's as good as we have played in a month.

I feel turnovers happen because of several reasons..... We try too many fancy/thread the needle passes. We aren't the Phoenix suns, the reason why Nash was able to run an offense was because every single person on that team was a shooter.... This team is different, so that's not going to work. I swear, I like jodie Meeks, but the guy cannot handle the ball..... just awful, he's a major turnover concern as well. We force to many unwarranted passes when coming off screens. Stop trying to get lobs in Dwight just to appease him or whatever. Stay within the structured offense, don't force stuff. This will stop turnovers significantly.... We did that against Utah and looked like a formidable team for 48 freaking minutes for the first time...

Seemed like Kobe spent a lot of time in the post and nothing but good things happened. Pau & Dwight posted up a lot too. Seemed like they ran a lot of non-D'antoni offense tonight.

We won playing nonDantoni ball. Post up the bigs, let Kobe post up and run the offense through Kobe.

I think if MDA is adjusting his system to design some scheme to posting up his player and play more inside/out basketball, we will be good !

Can't take too much away from the win in terms of predicting what's next, but damn it felt good to see them perform well.

It's just a shame that practically everything has to align perfectly for this team to get wins though.

Agreed. Both of Utah's pg's, Earl Watson and Jamaal Tinsley, sucked. Let's see what we do against a real PG. Like, Westbrook.
