How the heck do you miss 4 free throws in a row in the last few seconds of a close game??

JUST WOW!!!!! this team just loves to give up leads

62 points in the first half, 36 in the 2nd. Too bad we can't just play the first half.

i ain't even mad. it's a given we'll blow big leads now in the 4th. i have accepted it. just happy with the win.

No lead is safe in Lakerland.....and in a bad bad bad way.

We just find new ways to blow leads every game

Why can't we build on big leads

10 am early game, Detroit always plays us tough up in the Palace, no Dwight, team is distracted by Superbowl. I'll take any wins at this point in the season. Glad we win. On to Brooklyn

I think it is fair to say at this point that the Lakers are still just as terrible as ever, with the only improvement being that they are more capable of scoring consistently for stretches of any given game. But in the big picture that's really 'it' as far as improvements. Where most of the season they've struggled somewhat to have 7-0 runs or 10-0 runs at all, they're now more capable of getting those runs to occur, but they are still just runs at this point and because the defense is so. bad. they wind up nearly blowing every game they take a lead in.

On the plus side though, even though the team is basically still just as bad as ever(albeit with some fool's gold wins) the games have been more engaging to watch, so at least there's that.

Yea and that guy in your sig protecting the paint, or rather not protecting the paint. That 4th quarter D was horrendous.

We need Dwight in Brooklyn or its gonna be a layup drill.

My big WMC is definitely the free throws.

As for blowing big leads, I think we'll get it under control soon enough. The reason we're not is because we're not used to having big leads all year. Well, that and our defense can really suck at times.

But yeah, can't believe the BEST FT SHOOTER IN NBA HISTORY missed two clutch free throws in a row! We really have seen it all this season. That and no backcourt violation near the end???

I think I agree with the officials on that call. You're allowed to pass into the backcourt on that play and he was basically on the line when he received the pass as in, he didn't completely have possession in the front court before stumbling back.

Everything starts and ends with D12 not anchoring the paint on D ... Bynum would have been a non factor with him in there

The Lakers will not be so lucky to build a big lead against the Nets and blow it, this time it might be a blow-out loss especially if Howard doesn't play.

Really don't know how to explain what happened at the end there. We missed 4 FTs (2 by Nash ) that would've iced the game. And Detroit missed 2 GW layups. We did everything in our power to lose but somehow won.

Meh

On to the next one...

this team could be up 60 points and they'd still give it up and win by 2

and other teams know this, they'll play conservatively the whole game and be down 10-15 entering the 4th and still find a way to exploit the lakers weakness

I dont think these guys learn anything, they just keep repeating the same mistakes over and over.
