I feel like their used to be only 8 preseason games, I could be wrong but that sounds right to me, either way 10 is too much.

I wouldn't even know where to begin complaining, our whole team was garbage tonight except Kobe in the 3rd. I don't like Mike Brown, I don't get him playing the end of the end of the bench so much, guys that will clearly not make the team, don't get Kobe playing the entire 1st and 3rd quarters if you're going to go the route of playing the garbage time guys, if that's your plan don't waste Kobe's legs that much in a game you're throwing away on purpose. Aside from that I don't know if the players we got are just that bad or if Brown is that bad, or if it's some of both. These guys cannot make baskets, it's the name of the game and they can't do it, it's sad. And Brown, if he manages to screw this up with the starting lineup he has been given when the real games start, he needs to be fired mid-season, early season, whenever, Jim Buss is gonna have to take a hit to his pride on that one. But, this is preseason, I'll wait to see how we look with Howard in the starting lineup and Hill back with the bench and Nelson, Aguilar, and some other trash gone.

There have always been 8 games, and this year is also 8 games. not 10
Every time I begin to ask, "Is he really as great as I think he is?" ...He proves that he is.
Every time I begin to wonder...He proves it...That is why I won't lose hope in him.
You know who I am talking about.

I'm not the biggest fan of him either, but at least give the man a chance. He's never really had a championship caliber roster. In Cleveland those teams always overachieved yet for some reason he's been labeled as a bad basketball coach when clearly that isn't or hasn't been the case. Last year in L.A. outside of Kobe, Pau, and Drew the roster was mediocre at best. That's being nice too. Our bench was horrible last season. Tied with Charlotte for the worst in all of basketball. Now Mike finally has a roster capable of winning a championship so let's see how he does. I have a feeling by season's end everyone will have changed their tune on MB.

No, because he's not a good coach.

Based on what? When has he ever had a championship caliber roster? Never. This is the first time. Let's at least wait till he loses some meaningful games before we crucify him. For all the talk about him being a bad coach his teams for the most part have succeeded expectations.

I'll give Brown at least until he decides who's staying and who's going to pass judgement. Even then he may be getting his marching orders from above. We have garbage players with guaranteed contracts that need to go.... he may want them gone but the Ownership may not for financial reasons.....

Anyway.... what we are seeing on the floor in these pre-season games is about what one should expect from a bunch of late second round picks..... Brown can't change that can he?.....

The biggest thing I'm seeing is a glaring lack of athleticism..... we have younger players but are still getting our doors blown off by everyone else's second units.... This is shaping up to be a critical year for health.... if one of the top 5 go down for any length of time we will struggle I'm afraid....

Biggest complaint:

Aguilar- 12:10 minutes
Nelson- 18:50 minutes
Duhon- 11:43 minutes

Johnson-Odom- DNP-CD
Chris Douglas-Roberts- DNP-CD

That's what I was thinking all game. Those two DNP's have probably shown the most potential of all the guys on the bubble, yet CDR has barely played, and DJO can't get in until the absolute last of the garbage time and tonight not at all. From what I've seen CDR is a legit NBA player, he's been here before, but he doesn't play, and DJO hasn't been great, but he at least has the ability to get the hoop and score. All I can come up with is that Nelson and Aguilar are gone and this was their goodbye present from Brown, because Nelson has no business in the NBA, and Aguilar looks like he has no business in the D-League, he is horrible.

Yeah, my assumption is that they're out the door tomorrow or the next day. There's seriously no other reason for Aguilar to play and Somogyi not to. Same with Douglas-Roberts. I'm really hopeful that DJO is just being hidden so that other teams don't want to bite on him... I keep hearing good things, but we don't get to watch him play. If he doesn't make the first cut I'm going to be upset.

It's time to shorten the rotations up and put the lineups ( especially the 2nd unit) which are going to play on Oct 30th ... even if D12 and Hill injuries don't make it simple , it's about time these players get significant minutes together on the floor ...

The 2nd unit is already a concern , if you throw it up on the floor on opening night without any kind of chemistry and rhythm , the result is going to be a disaster = more minutes for the starting 5 at the start of the regular season which obviously isn't a good thing at all

No CDR??? No DJO again???? I'm starting to think Mike Brown is using these Pre-Season games to see which players to cut first. Also, it seems he is narrowing down his alternate line-ups and rotations. Also, if we go by the theory that the most solidified players got a sort of night off, with the exception of Kobe, then that means Goudelock, Morris, Nelson, Aguilar, Blake and Duhon seem like the most vulnerable at the moment...

I am very concerned about our complete lack of competition tonight. Kobe was the lone bright spot, and honestly I didn't see anything I didn't already know from him. I am starting to feel some nervous tension about this team's bench :man3: :man5: :nono2:  :help:

On the bright side, Meeks actually looked like an nba player...so that's good... :scurred:
The End is nigh. Time for a total Cut and Shuffle. Kobe contract was a mistake...time to avoid making more. The future is here, whether we want it to be or not. An era is over, but for the death rattle, and it's time for the cycle to begin anew. Growth and change are scary and painful, but alas...nothing worth achieving comes easily.

I'm not really nervous or tense about the bench. We've seen what Jordan Hill can do. We've now gotten a taste of what Meeks can do when he's got a rhythm. Ebanks has quietly looked pretty good this pre-season. He's averaging 8.5 points and shooting 33% from deep on limited shot attempts. his FG% isn't very good (39%) but no one's FG% off the bench has been very good. Jamison hasn't been great, but he hasn't been ver aggressive either and that'll take time. CDR is a bright spot, DJO has looked intriguing, and Sacre looks like a steal for the 60th pick in the draft.

We have seen what this bench can do, they just need consistency.

i personally think any inconsistency thus far is mostly secondary to the wonky rotations and not necessarily the personnel.

I wouldn't worry about CDR's time, i think Ebanks and Meeks were given an extended run last night to see what they can do, im sure CDR will play more in the coming games

I completely forgot about DJO...Blake/Duhon/Morris have been largely ineffective, Brown needs to start giving DJO some time.

As for Blake/Duhon...of course Blake has better rapport with Kobe and Pau and gives them ball to their sweet spots but he absolutely does nothing else....Duhon can D up well, hes a decent on ball defender and better at recovering in P & R coverage. Id try to dump Blake

I liked what I saw last night from Duhon more so compared to Blake. Either way, one of these two needs to be off the team before the season starts. I don't like the idea of having 2 roster spots taken up, 3 if you count Morris, at the same spot, that are all below average compared to the rest of the NBA. We can use those spots to fill out our roster with other players that are better.
