Did they want it AS BADLY? Of course not, that's why they lost.

actually I think they did want it AS BADLY. Think about this, OKC is tops in the West and in the end will probably finish #1 or #2 in the West. The Lakers, when playing well, are a top 4 team in the league who will now be fighting for a #6-8 spot in the playoffs. OKC does not want any part of LA, let alone a hot LA, team as the #8 seed in the playoffs. A win, especially a convincing one, would of kept all the rumblings and self-doubt in LA. Now, the talk is about how LA very well may have turned the corner. I really think they wanted to be the last slit of the knife on the Lakers throats but instead they stitched a lot of wounds on this LA team. Fear is seeping into the West right now.

I didn't read the past couple of pages so I'm not sure if I'm the only one that's going to be "that guy," but here we go.

I'm still a little unsure if we're turning a corner and I'm especially unsure if we can beat OKC in the playoffs. Westbrook was off. Now you can give some credit to Kobe and his good defense, but he also missed some open shots.

You are correct. However, we're not going to miss 10 FTs every game or have Dwight in single digits. We won by 9, could've easily been 15.

Yes, we're speaking in hypothetical terms. No I'm not stating we will win. Just saying it's up in the air, it's possible.

Oh I'm sure they wanted it. I'm sure they knew everything you're saying, but what I'm saying is that they weren't ready for what we were: starving. We wanted this so much more. Just watching the game again I'm seeing everyone on our team working and focused and going nuts. Their team is frustrated and can't figure it out why we're killing em.

Actually, he did not miss open shots, "HE MISSED STUPID SHOTS" if anyone was actually watching the game you would have known that Westbrook was trying to ball-hog and got his garbage rebounds and his assists ... and that's that.

in reality Westbrook in this game reminds me why I hate him so much sometimes he thinks he's a #1 option... and that's not the case.... he reminds me of a Allen Iverson type and I don't want any of those kind of players on my team.

Westbrook, has good as he his, cancels out a lot of his greatness with stupidity. Luckily, he helps his own team more than he helps the opponent with poor decision-making and shot selection, and the difference of his contribution to his own team - his contribution to the opponent is great enough to remain an elite player

If that makes any sense, he's basically a dumb great player

It's not the first time he had a 6/22 shooting performance he also had a 4/20 shooting performance in the finals... and I'm arguing about his mentality of being a #1 option when he's not.... like I said he looks like a Allen Iverson clone to me, you wouldn't really find any difference between AI and Westbrook both are egoistic players.

Can't take our foot off the gas and start taking quick 3's when up. It was good to see us win when most of our shooters were off, FTs were horrible. Still good to get win obviously.

Like I said in Gameday it doesn't matter, if we play this way we're a much better team than Portland and all the lower seeded playoff teams. It will show in the standings by the end of the year
