Flagrant Fouls: These fouls are considered unnecessary and/or excessive. There are two types of flagrant fouls, 1 and 2. A flagrant 1 is unnecessary contact. This is usually when a defensive player swings and makes hard contact with the offensive player or makes hard contact and then follows through. A flagrant foul 2 is unnecessary and excessive contact. I didn't see any "follow through." Dwight even got pushed back from the contact. Hill also got his nose punched. Faried is a p***** for staying on the floor so long. Come on, if you did that in high school, you'd be ridiculed the rest of your career.

Pretty much..some tough games in there but 4 straight games at Staples ( one road game ofcourse )...then Houston on the road.

I think we all knew that winning tonight was going to be a tough ask. veyr few teams have beaten Denver in recent years on a back to back.

By far the most embarrassing defensive display by the Lakers this year. How the hell do you give up 70+ points in a half?

At least the next 2 games are at home against scrub teams. That should put us a game over .500. The the Clippers game will be a toss up.

Can't get over .500, can get to it, but can't get over it. It's like one extremely long game where we are down the entire time by 3, 4, 5 points, can keep getting the game to a tie, but can never seem to take the lead once, and end up losing, extremely frustrating.

It was tough officiating, although the Lakers did receive a few beneficial calls down the stretch, that only kind of makes it worse, as if the officials truly knew that they were pulling the strings.

Lakers have stretches of some of the worst defense you will ever see in professional basketball, and they have an uncanny ability to get close or to keep a game within winnable territory only to give up 10 straight immediately after.

Giving up 126 points total is obscene, Nuggets with a 39 point quarter makes it worse. How many times is this team going to give up 39-40+ points in a single quarter?

There are some silver linings of course, some of the issues with this team do seem to be improving noticeably, but overall they are still nowhere near being a GOOD team.

Touch foul, touch foul, touch foul........all leading to easy points for Denver.

We get the ohh you fouled him backing somebody down calls, which leads to an out of bounds.


Defense, offensive boards, lazy, no energy, blah....

Disappointing to lose but I expected a loss here. Just pissed our defense was so awful

It was kind of expected ... old and slow team with heavy minutes for starters playing a back 2 back at Denver ...

Besides the terrible D , especially on the perimeter , we have to be aware rebounding is a team effort too

Wings have to help on the boards and they haven't for a few games .

I'm not a mad at this loss , we still put a decent fight regarding the circumstances.

WMC: the officiating again. Fans may overreact but the simple truth is the Lakers are being taken out of games with this crappy *** officiating. How many And1's didn't get called for us? How many phantom fouls went for them? Hell, take away Faried 87 pushoffs and the dude wouldn't have 2 rebounds. The last four games have been horrible officiating wise for LA. Up until now we have been able to overcome it (plus our own stupid play from time to time) but not tonight.

Tired effort...both teams had back to backs but that is where age really shows....too many offensive rebounds and some dubious calls for good measure

Refs had nothing to do with the loss against the Nuggets. They were the more aggressive team and the whistle will always benefit the more aggressive team. They had what, 20 points in the paint in the first quarter alone?

We took way too many jumpers, didn't go inside at all. This team's propensity to fail in capitalizing on our inside advantage is just... frightening.

the officiating was really bad, but moreso when the game was close.

my wmc is pau: if he's injured, he should sit. if he's not...i'm not sure he shouldn't sit even harder. his lack of effort on d and the boards was shameful from the opening tip. on one play, he loped back up the floor and ty lawson pulled the ball back out on the break, allowing him to catch up. then pau basically avoided the easy trap, and not because he went to find his man...no, no, no, he just sort of waved his arms around about six feet from lawson as he took a short jumper. lawson missed, but it was a play emblematic of pau's evening.

i really don't know what the lakers are supposed to do about that situation at this point. his trade value is completely shot, and he's not pulling his 19 million dollar weight.

ya officiating has been crap for the past few games and randomly throughout the whole season for us. same old story...we get no calls when hammered and they get every call when touched. and then the fouls they do give us are when it doesnt affect the game like dwight backing in for example....so at the end of the game the stats will say that the officiating foul wise was even. such bs.

we got taken out of the game so early bc of the terrible calls. every kobe meeks pau dwight drive that they got hacked on wasnt called but everyone of theres was.

overall our lack of defensive effort and energy on the boards is what cost us the game. it was evident from the first quarter that we'd prob not win...but our team is good enough offensively that even with that terrible D we can still win games. If we got the fouls called for us that we earned then we prob would have won while giving up a ton of points too.

dwight's ejection to me was very quick. it really should have been reviewed more. i mean when faried jumps up like nothing happened the foul isnt as bad as it looks. honestly with the way they were officiating im not surprised they ejected him but i think it should have been a flagrant 1. i mean when was the last time metta fouled out twice in a row...hes a smart defender.

in the end when it was pretty much over they were just raining 3's but we should have been up at that point if we got calls.

side note: dwight was NOT engaged at all tonight on D and that was in part to him being annoyed that the team isnt changing or getting better on defense. he cant do it all and his frustration was all let out with his foul on faried.

our streak had to end sometime and im glad at least it was on a b2b in denver after beating the knicks then at some home gimme game.
