thats what the clippers do and thats what we should do on D. we ned guys to bring the effort and energy and a coach to practice it.

We already shoot more free throws than anyone in the league.... by a long ways in fact over the teams that everyone seems to think get favored so I just don't see the "Stern is out to get us angle" here....
Either way I don't think there is a way you can pin the Denver loss on the Refs.... Age, inconstancy, system not matching the personnel and rigid coaching style seem to be a more appropriate target to me.....

Saw that. What exactly is that?
Inflammation of the fascia (a fibrous connective tissue) in the arch area of the bottom of your foot.

10 people played at least 7 minutes for the Clips in the first half against the C's.... it's easy to play your butt off for 3 to 4 minute stretches when your that deep..... add in that they are fairly young at most positions and you can see why they can do it and we can't.
We are about 8 deep and our best player HAS to play 36 minutes for us to have a shot at a win right now....
wtf were they thinking
I know all you guys like to harp/moan bout his playoff performance but dam dude is killing it out there now and even his ugly playoff shooting still he effects the game way more then Ebanks on the defensive side.puffyusaf#2 wrote:Rooscooter wrote:

Why does it have to be a conspiracy because I acknowledge lopsided officiating that can effect games? Heck, is it wrong to say Joey Crawford has it against Timmy D? Officials have their own bias just as we as fans do. As far as the "law of averages" is concerened sure that sounds great but when will it level out? After Dwight is so frustrated by getting hacked he takes an ill-advised hard foul? Will it be in the next game when we are already up by 20 and then we get the touch calls? Again, my point is consistancy don't let Pau get pushed clearly under the basket without a call then call a foul on Nash who gets run into on the other end. Is that too much to ask?
In the end, some posters like like to blame Kobe as the most appropriate target. Then there are some who think Pau is the most appropriate target. MDA, System, Jim Buss, Turnovers, Fouls, Foulshots etc..etc..etc..etc... For me, personally, I think the officiating of the last 4 games is disgusting and costly.

How can you be upset over something that is out of your hand or out of the Lakers hands? The best they can do is play a good game all around. Play defense that have never been played before, play with passion, play with motivation, play with a purpose. When we are up by 30pts, what can the refs do? I've seen games where the refs try to keep the game tight by calling silly calls, but to no avail, the other team just basically have this purpose and the passion to overcome anything.

way rather start Ebanks than Morris especially if its only or 5-6 minutes a game.

As for Barnes, i was pissed the minute we let him go. I loved his energy, he would look realy good with Nash on the court

Matt Barnes spent two years with the Lakers before leaving for the Clippers.
The Clippers (23-6) are currently riding a 15-game win streak and Barnes is averaging 11 points a game on 50.2% shooting from the field.
According to an NBA executive, one of the main reasons the Clippers have won so many in a row is "Matt Barnes is playing out of his mind."
When told of the comments, Barnes' response included a slam of ex-Lakers coach, Mike Brown.
"I've been working hard these past few summers. Last year, playing with the Lakers, I was told when I could shoot. If I made mistakes, I'd come out of the game," said Barnes. "This year [Coach] Vinny [Del Negro] has installed a lot of trust in me. He lets me go out there and play my game. If I mess up, he still sticks with me and that goes a long way with any player."
Barnes' year with Phil Jackson was a disappointment when he simply wasn't healthy for the postseason. Last year the forward played 63 games, in the lockout-shortened 66-game regular season, for Brown, averaging 7.8 points a game on 45.2% shooting. While he was banged up throughout the playoffs once again, Barnes clearly didn't feel like he had Brown's trust.
"Coach [Del Negro] has confidence in me; that's all I need," said Barnes. "I can play. I've just been stuck in a bad situation for a little while."
Of course now that the Lakers have Coach Mike D'Antoni running the team, Barnes would have been a much more natural fit. Over the offseason, the Lakers did not look to re-sign him and the Clippers were happy to bring the veteran aboard for his second stint with the team.
The Lakers and Clippers meet again at Staples Center on Friday January 4. The Clippers took the first game on Nov. 2, 105-95.

The thing about Matt Barnes' comments re: Lakers. It was more about who was in charge at the
time - Coach Mike Brown. Matt didn't feel like he was trusted - that he was told when to shoot - any mistake and he'd be benched.
Meanwhile Barnes raved about Vinny Del Negro and the trust he's given him - allowing him to play freely - make mistakes and keep balling.
Matt is having a great year for the Clippers - but Brown wasn't all to blame - Barnes was hobbled late in the year with injury.
