watching the offense most of the time without kobe is disgusting. pass around the perimeter, pass, pass, pass, bad contested shot.

Our backcourt outside of Blake is atrocious.

Can't say Glock is a nightmare yet. He just got his first practice in yesterday. Plus we really haven't used his strength yet which is the 3pt ball. He needs to be in there when SA doubled Dwight like they were doing last game.

W T F was Antoni thinking playing those two TOGETHER? And it lasted about 4 mins too.

Even STu was saying WTF is this!

I honestly thought Antoni was TRYING to throw the game at that point!

that 4 minutes was essentially the reason houston had a cushion for 2 quarters, imo. lakers should have been making up ground but were losing it. very odd coaching choice in such a big game. luckily we didn't see it in the second half.

my main wmc was the 3 or 4 runout layups that parsons got. you can't have breakdowns like that; there's really no excuse.

If Blake and Pau could keep playing like this, I really like our chances against the Spurs. The injury to Pau was actually a blessing in disguise because it gave him a few weeks off. Now he is fresh and is playing with a lot of energy. Let's hope Pau could keep this up in the playoffs.

That was our plan. We weren't playing the Spurs, we were playing the Rockets. Fast break points means a quicker tempo and that's better for them than us.

We need to slow the game down. So no running.

To be fair, the backcourt outside of any team's backup PG is typically atrocious.

Good thing Blake has been so good it really doesn't matter. 24/7/7? Unreal. He won't do it every night but, he's basically single-handedly posting Kobe-ish numbers.

Shouldn't you be bringing him down a few notches then? You compare him to Kobe and give blessings, but if Kobe shot 6-20 from the field and 4-12 from deep, you would be complaining about it. How can one man be so good at something, but the other get nothing but hate for doing the exact same thing?

Kobe's not on the floor therefore we'er better on both ends...... and according to some here so much better it's not even funny.....

Just imagine how much better we would be if he just gave it up and retired or we amnestied him.....

Are you saying you would be ok with Kobe posting typical Steve Blake numbers?

Yeah. You know you cannot answer that question. I answered your question, with a question. If you couldn't figure that out ... then I'll give you a simple answer.

The standards and expectations between Steve Blake and Kobe Bryant are different. Shouldn't they be?

I'm so confused.

I'm following...most teams guards outside of their #1 #2 #3 options are atrocious. Also, for our backup point guard to post 24/7/7 is phenomenal....sure shooting 30% blows but you can't compare him to Kobe because Kobe SHOULD be more efficient....he's Kobe.

Blake putting up those numbers in Kobe's absence is much appreciated and NEEDED.

You're missing the point.

Kobe shoots 6-20, 4-12 with 7 assists........JGC bashes him for shooting too much and not passing the ball.
Blake shoots 6-20, 4-12 with 7 assists........JGC praises him for doing the exact same thing Kobe got bashed for.

That's the only thing I'm looking at. It's not about standards or what who should be doing. It's ONLY about the interpretation of shooting too much.

Already answered this for you. IMO, the expectations and measuring sticks for Steve Blake and Kobe Bryant should be different.

Do you agree? If so, then hope that resolves your mass confusion.

If not, you'd have to agree it would be acceptable for Kobe to then post Steve Blake numbers.

Well, I get it.

Aside from that I'm really enjoying what Blake's doing. He's fiesty and can shoot in stretches and when Dwight/Pau aren't bringing it I'm completely fine with him being our offense. Did I just say that?

What a god damn season.

Yea it makes perfect sense....

Blake shoots 6-20, 4-12.........great game no criticism from you.

Kobe shoots 6-20, 4-12.........ballhog that doesn't get his teammates involved.

It couldn't be any more transparent.
