Fisher was all heart and toughness and showed up big for us when we needed, won't bash him.

Wow went away for a bit and I see my comment got some reactions. What I meant is that we have turned Nash into Fisher in a lot of ways. It also tells me that Nash being the primary facilitator wasn't working. The team gave up a lot for what is basically a spot up shooter. In the grand scheme of things that deal isn't looking so good. We have two guys being what they are not and I am not sure they can keep it up. Nash is a facilitator first and Kobe is a scorer first and they have reverted roles. Not that I am shocked as teams have had Nash under control all year.

Regarding Fish & Nash comparison...I meant their roles on the team. But seriously do not question Fisher's importance over 5 championships. In the 2001 run he was on fire and in his early years was a bulldog on defense. Extremely clutch in most of them. Later in his career his lack of foot speed and limited size were exposed but even then he was still tough 1 on 1 defender. And we know his contributions in the locker room as well.

I think people are having more problems with someone asserting that Fisher was just a chucker.

I have no problem with Fisher and think he deserves credit for hitting big shots, but I still can't stand him.

Story of our season: false hopes

I haven't felt this down since we lost the Celtics in '08, I'm just crushed, faith in the team is shaken, missing the playoffs feels real. Even if we go 5-2 on this road trip we're still only 25-27, still a lot of work to do, now we have to win 5 of the next 6 to do that. We gave a game away, we suck on the road, crappy road team returned, crappy Pau returned, guys were not rewarding the ball movement with makes (MWP), damn.

That was one of the more disappointing games this year because it showed that we really havent learned anything.

When the going go tough, road environment...ball stopped moving quickly. Defensive rotations became slow and open shots were plenty.

Cant lose games against teams like PHX if you have dug a hole that we have dug for ourselves.

This team isn't very good. When they're on the road, Kobe and Nash pass to a bunch of chuckers who can't make a shot. The system won't work on the road.

they should have a closed door meeting every freaking week... damn i hate this team so much... i would honestly feel total relief by punching every single laker in his nose...

Making up 3 games in the loss column with 30+ games remaining was more than a possibility. Obviously now it is 4 games in the loss.

Meh. More of the same. I wasn't going to really get my hopes up until we proved we could win on the road, win trap games and tough teams.. No consistency, no toughness, just more of the same.

We don't deserve, basketball-wise, to make the playoffs. Take your being a fan of the team out of the equation. Just be a fan of the sport and not the team for a minute. Do we deserve to make the playoffs? Did we deserve to win tonight? No.
