I seriously thought they had changed it to a non-shooting foul if that crap ever happened again.

Pau going down with an injury that does not look good at all.

Praying he just tore his Plantar facia and did not rupture it.

You are correct, the rip swing move is not supposed to be called a shooting foul, why Brook Lopez and Kevin Durant keep getting these BS FTs is beyond me.

The Lakers should be forwarding those plays to the league office and pointing out they aren't legal, the Mavs do stuff like this all the time.

total bs on that call. no one is supposed to get that and of course they do after kobe's huge dunk and the lakers had a ton of momentum. that could have really stopped it but the team powered through it. but it could have considering it put them up 1 instead of down 2.

total bs call and i seriously hope it doesnt happen again

Boston has been red hot since Rondo went down, hope MWP comes back and plays well vs Pierce. We cant let guys like Jeff Green, Jason Terry, Courtney Lee and Barbosa go off on us

I can't say really say last night's win was the biggest win this year but it sure was the happiest win all season.

I'd put it at number 2 behind OKC at home.

But it was sure a damn nice win.

Biggest road win of the season so far. Tomorrow will be another tough test. I wish the Miami game wasn't at the end of a 7-game road trip because of the wear and tear from all the traveling the Lakers had to do. If the Lakers beat Miami on Sunday, you'd almost have to think that the Lakers could be favored to win it all as a 7th or 8th seed.

I definitely won't be mad if they lose against Miami. That's a very difficult game and we're missing our bigs. Which is bad because our team just started clicking... might need to sign a temporary replacement for Pau. Man, even just Dwight coming back without any signings would look great right now. He would get his touches for sure.

I believe it's still a foul, just not a shooting foul. However, if the team that fouled is in the penalty then FT's will be awarded. I didn't get to watch the game so I'm not sure whether the Lakers were in the penalty or not.

We have to get that win in Boston tomorrow, they play in Toronto tonight they're gonna be tired as hell tomorrow. An old Boston team missing Sullinger and Rondo, a Kobe/Nash led team should beat them. We have to win tomorrow even if Pau and Howard are missing, its not like they have world beating big men right now and KG isnt playing like one. Need Ron to out play Pierce on both ends

My official WMC: Ireland says the mood/thoughts around Pau's foot are very glum. Pau is really worried, the team is really worried... If there was ever a time when we needed depth it's now.

I love Clark, but he's not a full-time 5. He'll get bullied around if we have to roll with that against Boston and against Charlotte even.

This is what I was thinking as well. I did feel the most proud of the team after this win though.

I haven't had much of a chance to watch many games this year so I'll ask those of you who have:

Why is Ebanks in Antoni's dog house?

I mean he surely is a better option at the 3 than morris/meeks or whoever was the designated 3 when he ran the Duhon/Morris/Meeks trio last night.

From what I remember seeing from Ebanks the last time I saw him play, he wasn't anything special but surely he can't suck that bad that Antoni would rather play one of the aforementioned guards instead of Ebanks. I mean he seemed to have a pretty solid mid range J, is athletic(and we know we could use that) and he's also got some decent size that we will desperately need if Pau is out for an extended period of time. If we continue to rely on Clark for heavy minutes he is gonna fade at the end of the season.

Can someone please fill me in?

^ He's been in the Laker doghouse since he got that DUI earlier this season.

If I were to guess (total speculation) he's being treated like a dog because he was acting like one. In a season when everyone is supposed to be dedicated to winning a ring, he went out to a party and drove home drunk like a moron.

I'm surprised he hasn't been waived yet.

^aahhh I see. Thanks Real

Character issues aside, do you think his size may be of any use to our front line if Pau goes down for an extended period of time?

I mean if the FO is not gonna waive the kid he might as well get some burn since he's on the payroll.

His size is almost exclusively length and height. :man10:

He's only got about 200 lbs. on his 6'8" frame. He's really thin.

Up until his DUI, I'd been pulling for this kid. He's got a great build for basketball (pretty similar to Durant) and he seemed to have been making progress with his jump shot. I think if we're going to be missing Howard AND Gasol he'll get time at the 3 because like you said we have him on the payroll. But it won't be because of anything HE did.

Ebanks has got to get some time now that Pau is out for so long.
Every time I begin to ask, "Is he really as great as I think he is?" ...He proves that he is.
Every time I begin to wonder...He proves it...That is why I won't lose hope in him.
You know who I am talking about.

Ebanks is literally the 15th guy on the depth chart, maybe 16 if you count Darvin Ham. MWP was out and Ebanks still didn't play a lick.

Ebanks will not see the floor. I noticed his face got fatter. Is he even working out anymore?

Now you're onto something. Ham is a big dude and he is Nash's age. Maybe he can suit up and bully some people for 10 minutes?
