As JVG said , our team badly needs young and 2 way players ... we are the team SAS was a couple of seasons ago .... too old of a roster then they get better again by retooling their roster with young players ...

We basically need new starting forwardS ... and retool the whole bench ( Hill is the only keeper) .

biff and deandre in foul trouble early...clippers didn't even have jamal crawford, their second highest scorer...another deep hole with a tease of a comeback resulting in yet another loss. *sigh*

Honestly, we're in trouble, maybe even screwed. We need to make up a ton of ground, we need wins, and the easy part of our schedule is over. THIS is where it gets hard and we couldn't win when it was easy.

by the way, we must have the 2 most disrespected superstars in the league in term of foul calls between kobe and dwight.

Pau and MWP gave us absolutely nothing this game, can't have that from 2 starters.
Season is slowly slipping away, FO needs to do something.

I'm pretty sure Meeks is mentally slow.
Howard has NO post game and terrible hands.
MWP can't buy a shot.
Nash is too passive.
Guys taking multiple possessions off and killing our chances.

WTF was Pau doing tonight....NOTHING. pathetic and i didnt think he could play any worse. MWP was sad today 2. how can you have 2 starters combine for 5 points and play huge minutes?? like why are they still playing.....Dantoni should have put Jamison in a long time again. Pity 3 minutes at the beginning is the same as not playing him. He could easily out play Pau right now.

We gave Pau a chance with Nash and hes somehow gotten even worse. Foor injury or not that was beyond pathetic. He doesnt even look at the basket when he gets the ball, last time i checked his eyes werent injured.

- D12 was horrible defensively the whole game .... that stupid on CP3 down 2 ... horrible foul as 75% of his fouls

- Meeks and his terrible shooting

Dwight - Even when he gets numbers it doesn't feel like he is dominating. He is still a very good defender but no where near where Shaq was. Dwight needs to sit down with Kareem, Hakeem and learn how to play basketball.

Pau - Should have traded him last year. So many are saying...when Nash gets back. Pau has been in decline the last 3 years. Why is that going to get better, that's a trend.

MWP - Teased us early like he did late last year. I really think it is just he can't consistently do it anymore. Team needs a starting SF with MWP coming off the bench.

Nash - Turnstyle on defense. I guess we didn't really see that before with Fish attacking. Results in the team having to completely alter their defense.

Kobe - Best shooting in several years. Defense is down but he generally scores more than he gives up. The only guy that seems to show up night after night.

Bench - Hill a keeper (and should be starting). Meeks is ok as your 10th guy. The rest...d-league.

D'antoni - awful hire.

Making the Playoffs is looking like a crapshoot at this point. It's starting to require that other teams lose more than we win.

WMC is exactly the same as it has been all season long. This loss was like a carbon copy of almost every single one of our losses all season long. Honestly, would Trodgers or one of the stats guys here figure out how many 15+ deficits the Lakers have faced this season? it seems like that is the magic number, they get to a 15 point deficit(sometimes a little worse) and then spend the rest of the game fighting a majorly uphill battle, even coming close to stealing the W, but it's always too little and too late.

I feel like that exact same scenario has happened at least 8 or 9 times this season, where the Lakers play well, even great, but only after they are basically too far from being able to win the game. The more important point is that the Lakers allow this to happen so often. We all know Basketball is a game of runs, but for the Lakers, opposing team runs are RUNS. It'll be 7-0 in a minute or 10-0 in 2 minutes. It's just embarrassing how quickly teams are able to score against us. Not all the time, but that's what makes it even worse, because it doesn't have to be all the time. It's just that it happens at least once or twice a game with such consistency.

I just haven't really seen anything like this before. The Lakers are so consistently bad in one of the weirdest ways possible. Because so many of the mistakes they make, it's like rec league stuff, it's like peewee league stuff. Just complete lack of basketball fundamentals. But then they will have scoring runs that are completely respectable, then they'll have back-to-back-to-back stops that are completely effective, but it just feels like for every positive step forward there is a negative two steps back.

But right now, I'm just really straining to see how making the Playoffs is going to be possible. With the upcoming schedule, that really has the potential to be the deciding stretch of this season, and oh yeah we just lost 2 in a row before it even started.

i dunno, dwight's offensive game has been less than stellar. it's almost at the point where i'm expecting him to get stripped, brick it, or turn it over over half the time.

That's a health thing, though. As the season progresses, he'll keep getting better. Nash-Kobe-MWP-Dwight are a solid unit... Nash-Kobe on O, and MWP-Dwight on D.

this. this was the ONLY reason why we lost. Kobe had one of his best games of the season, dwight was almost just as good. When your two best players have games like they did tonight, on the same night, we should dominate the competition. Our defense was the single reason why we lost tonight. I've been preaching this for a while now. People get caught up blaming kobe, or dwight, and i'm just glad they both had great games so that it could show what the real problem is. Defense. No one can have perfect games all the time, but that doesn't mean we should lose when kobe or dwight have bad games.

A lose is a lose, but to come back like that....I say they have a chance. And if it doesn't work this season, Jim, Jerry, and Mitch CAN'T be that stupid not to add McMillan or someone to be a defensive mind to the team.

Look at what people have been saying about the Clippers, according to many......we should have gotten steamrolled, and at first they were (I checked the scores lightly on my phone and until the last quarter and then I was checking every few seconds as they came back and then watched the last minute on tv) but they came back.

THERE IS HOPE.

It sucks to loose to the Clippers, but that could have been WAY worse.

this was the OKC game all over again.

Why is this even uttered when contemplating trading Pau? I've heard it before several times. We ship players out that were a part of championships all the time. But when it comes to Pau, people seem to get soft hearted. He needs to go and its obvious.
