So that means Phil Jackson was completely responsible for our last titles and not Kobe Bryant?

Kobe does respect PJ so does the other players not named Smush Parker

I'm always trying to stay positive and hoping the Lakers right the ship but it's getting harder and harder to see this team make the WCF let alone win the championship....right now the last glimmer of hope is Steve Nash....
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

if the Knicks, without Melo, can blowout a full strength Heat AND hold them to 12 points in the 4th then we have no chance at all...

I keep thinking that they will turn it around...they will turn it around...THIS will be the game they do it...no no, THIS will be the game...ok NOW they'll finally turn it up....I've been waiting for 17 games now...and it hasn't happened (since the Mike Brown firing)...

It's getting harder and harder to watch this team...and like someone said earlier...I literally expect losses now...I definitely forgot how it feels to expect our team to win every game. I'd be ECSTATIC if we won 2 games in a row...i remember when 2 games in a row and then a loss meant the end of the world for the Lakers...how the heck did we drop off so badly after IMPROVING our roster?! :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

Kamenetzky Bros talk about Laker D. Pretty much what we've all said but do talk more big picture and it made me feel a little better.

Other than D12 not being close to the athlete he was with the Magic , people easily overlook the fact there is a LOT more offensive firepower and talent in the West than in the East ...

That's why the " how can the Lakers be so bad defensively with Dwight whereas Orlando was a good defensive with him and 4 garbage defenders " argument doesn't make as much sense as people believe/want

They're currently watching the wagon crash into a wall and burn, all while pointing and laughing :man5:

1/4 of the reg season has gone, and we played 13 times @ home...
We have to play 2x against Heat, Knicks, Celtics, Bulls, Grizz, SA, 3x with Clipps...

I keep watching Darius Morris and think no player can be this stupid, let alone a PG. I mean how many times is he going to drive into the lane with no plan, run over a player or try an impossible shot at the rim or his best trait, an ill advised pass that has no chance of getting there. Devin Ebanks? Is is still drunk? Hasn't done anything since the DUI. I dump both guys. Sign Delonte West and bring back CDR. Chris Duhon is what he is...a backup PG. MWP will remain wildly inconsistent. If you can have backups for both that helps immensely. Plus that would mean you can actually rest Kobe. Kobe has one real fault...that is when times are tough he reverts to take over at all cost scoring machine. You can't blame him the team is lost. But if you look at the few games they have won, you had scoring from other areas like Meeks & Jamison.

I honestly would try and trade Gasol. More to the point. If I was keeping him I really would plant him in the post and Howard would just be weakside rebounder & P&R guy only. May not be popular but Gasol is WAY better in the post than Howard. Howard is really really raw there. It won't happen but that too could help the team a lot.

Well, D'antoni's teams are typically all offense, no defense. So far they got the no defense part down. :man3:

Guess that means they already got half of his system figured out?

when watching games the second duhon sits and morris comes it i just know whatever the opponents lead it its gunna grown until duhon is back in. Duhon isnt even that good so thats how bad morris has been playing lately. when starting he was hidden, but off the bench hes easily the worst player on the team...including DJO and Sacre.

Good luck getting it. They're the hottest team in the NBA right now. This is the tallest order we've had so far this season to win a game.

What is jumping off the wagon? I'll be watching tonight (my day off), but lately I find myself NOT breaking my back to try and see the games live. It's not that I've stopped caring, its that I can't spend my free time being LIVID at the TV screen. Caring too much = off the wagon?
There are two teams that play in the Staples Center:
the LA Lakers and NBA Clippers.

Do what I do. Take a break from watching games. I sound like a bandwagoner, but in cases like this, I wait til we win a couple of games in a row, then come back and watch and pray I don't jinx the team.

I do it to re-charge my Laker fuel. Pretty much when i get way too upset over a loss, I step back and take a break from Lakers altogether.

Venting helps. ALOT. That's why this thread is the best thread in all of CL, unless we win the CHIP of course.

Go Ahead and Jump off the Wagon

I'll take a skyscraper, thank you very much.

Kidding aside, Kobe's interview with Stephen A Smith was tough to watch. It's like watching the "calm before the storm". Hopefully, we can stop Hurricane Kobe from destroying the team's hotel room with a win tonight.

Yea that or maybe we just lose like we do most of the time. Its just what garbage teams do and we've reached that status now and it'll take a miracle to get us out of that class now.
