should we trade all the players for kwame and smush and devean george and brian cook and luke walton and all those players back in 05 thru 07 since kobe wanna shoot more than 30 times....

I just don't get why we are losing all these games.. it does not make sense.

Forget chemistry forget everything.. the talent is there and to be 8-10 and losing to the teams we are losing against is mind blowingly pathetic.

Kobe's 30 shots didn't lose the game, so what's your point?

and I have never put Kobe on blast like this but I'm so sick of it because I thought this season he would get it and let others take the load off him.

Agreed with most of your points. I love kobe but the dude has got to pass it.

We're playing again tomorrow night, and in OKC on Friday.. If I had to bet I'd say we lose both games, leaving us at 8-12.

I think there's a serious risk this becomes one of the most embarrassing seasons in NBA history in terms of expectations vs reality.

I am really not sure bringing up Phil's name at this point can do any good to the team since they aint going to fire MDA this season, and quite frankly he isn't the only problem on this team.

1. That was some of the most pathetic defensive rebounding I have ever seen in my life.
2. 18 TOs. Will this team ever fix the damn problem?
3. 34 poitns given up in the 4th quarter. Overall 62 pts given up in the 2nd half. Where the hell is the [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] defense?
4. I simply do not understand how someone who has been playing baskekball for this long can't shoot FTs consistently.
5. What's the need of Kobe to hoist up 31 shots? The fourth quarter offense is so predictable with Kobe on the floor. What's worse is that they simply can't give D12 the ball and ask him to work since the second he touches the ball he will be fouled, which brings back to point 4.
6. Why no offensive-defensive substitution down the stretch? Jamison isn't a good rebounder by any stretch of imagination.

I was listening to the radio today and some guy was going on about how Kobe sometimes is "selective" with his defense. I'm sick of all the stupid euphemisms people come up with to protect this guy. He's a BAD defender and hardly anyone holds him accountable for it.

Might as well go through this and figure this out now. Either Dwight makes the FTs or he sits down until the 2 min mark. Too much pressure on the D

We gave up too may offensive rebounds and we turned the ball over a lot in 4th.

Same thing like the ORL game we had control of it until the last 5 minutes, we just couldnt finish them off

Kobe. Way too many shots. Destroyed the team concept entirely. I felt uneasy about the game after halftime and we had a 13 pt lead. I was worried it could end up being close and possibly a loss.

This almost always happens when one player overshoots. It not only affects our offense, but it affects our defense. Whether one agrees with it or not, the reality is if guys aren't involved, they lose focus.

We keep losing because we dont pay attention to detail. Take care of ball, rebound, defend. We know Howard is a bad frre throw shooter, so everyone else needs to make sure they make theirs. Players need to play witin their selves and stop trying to do things they are not capable of. Develope a killer instinct. Put teams away when u have the chance. Respect all opponents. Play hard 48 minutes. And yes Kobe stop leaving your man open and have a better shot selection. Go to Howard in post more.

eh...not sure i agree. if pau and nash are playing, then maybe kobe needs to watch that shot count a bit. but right now, you've got options like darius morris and earl clark on the floor. kobe's going to get a lot of shots until the team is fully healthy (if this ever happens).

anyway, the thing i haven't seen discussed as much is the turnovers. one thing that kobe iso ball should do is help limit turnovers, and when it doesn't, things can get really miserable. i don't know where to find these stats, but my guess is the lakers' opponents don't score very well on them in the half court, especially when dwight is in the game. but turnovers and offensive rebounds lead to easy offense. the lakers do the former a ton, and they gave up the latter tonight to their own demise.

quite frankly, amongst a lot of bad losses, this is the worst one of the year. houston really didn't play well, and the lakers just handed them a game. i hope it's rock bottom because i'm not sure i can handle watching much more of this.
