So this is my preemptive WMC on delusional laker fans talking about "Lebron Next Year!" all 2013/14.

Who the hell is this so called "source"? The Lakers are definitely in contention for Lebron. Take a look at the cap flexibility next offseason. You can't say that Lebron and his camp aren't even considering it.

I can and do say that. :man1:

Lebron isn't thinking beyond 3 peating.. But if his team breaks down & he doesn't make it back to the finals, who knows.. The only WMC I have is the FO not seeing that Dwight was gone & trading him at the deadline, or bringing in the coach that would keep him a Laker.. I had a bad feeling about Dwight staying since the reports came out that Dwight wanted Phil & then we hired D'antoni.. It was obvious to everyone except those of us with blinders on (guilty, I thought he'd stay) that Dwight wasn't going to fit in here.

Since its the right thread, I'll jump on this one too! :jam2:

I mean how obvious was it?? The guy wanted MDA out, not a cheesy building side banner. Way to not make a decision when you needed to, then try to half *** it at the end. They were either incredibly out of touch, or just desperate and throwing things to see if anything would stick.

Either way, not a good look.

WMC - Still talking about Dwight Howard.

He couldn't cut it here, he wanted Kobe amnestied, he wanted the offense to revolve around him, he tried to split the locker room with his stat sheet, he quit on the team multiple times during the season and hasn't shown he can grow up mentally or take the proper steps in his game to carry a team.

Is he a talented player, yes for sure. Is he a player you bend over backwards for to make him the face of the franchise. No.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you win. Will not talk about Dwight unless someone speaks of him in a light that is either good or bad about him in a tone that is both stern and forgiving but not soft.

my pre wmc: Dwight howard is going to suddenly start getting those calls on the strip downs because the league is done punishing him for the dwightmare (and he's no longer a big bad laker). also, i'm sure he's going to suddenly buy into running the screen and roll again, now that his days are filled with making dorky videos with his douchey chums.

Bull bleep. They sucked donkey balls last year, the year before, the year before that and will this year again too. Same as it ever was. The hunting season on refs is now open with the 2013 WMC thread.

my wmc as the season isn't too far off is that i have low expectations. it's been a while since i've felt this way, not a good feeling.

but kobe can pass jordan this year in scoring which will be fun/annoying/silly as the mj vs. kobe debates come back up again.

WMC: as others have asked, why is the guy still on our banner??? :mad1: :mad1: He showed his true colors and never wanted to be a Laker unless totally on his terms. That he had no right or anywhere near enough game and what it "takes" between his ears to be demanding. Banish him. Erase all images :man2: :man2:

I agree.. the guy is a doofus. We should get rid of any remembrance in Laker discussion. Let's go Lakers, put Farmar, Young and Wes in his place. True Lakers although Nick and Wes still have to play in the purp&gold.

WMC-I live in Cincy and work 3rds (7p-330a EST) I'm going to miss a bunch of games for a team that should be pretty fun to watch, as far as non-title contenders go..
