Turnovers. No energy in the 3rd. No sense of urgency. Went away from Dwight for whatever reason. Pau is rusty. No defense. Especially on the perimeter.

I love how they felt they had Dwight to go to late in the game even after Ariza is going crazy from outside and Wall is balling.

Yet we ignore our real version who has only missed once in the entire freaking game and instead rely on the guy that rushed back from a pretty bad looking injury.

Awesome!

still not sure why people are so sure the lakers are holding off utah for the 8 spot. seriously, utah went to OT at SA. the lakers lost at home to one of the worst basketball teams...ever. i'm speechless after that performance. i really thought they couldn't be worse than they had been, but they've proven me wrong again.

Oh well, at least now I can let go of that pipe dream that this team had something special about it and could become elite

They're typical 8th seed garbage

No these collection of players are not being played well. I know people hate to read it and say it's old news, and to let it go but Phil Jackson would have this team in position to be playing for the trophy in the finals. Mike D just doesn't know how conduct a team full of players like this. They just aren't fit to play together under this kind of system.

All but 1 of Howard's makes were off of motion and chaos created in the middle by Kobe and Nash..... in the second half WA took that away by rotating the PF under the rim before Kobe got below the free throw line. They adjusted their defense to take that away.

It wasn't as if Dwight was dominating one on one in the post all night on traditional post touches.....

With the road trip coming up Utah could easily be back in control of the 8th seed if they manage to start winning again. We should just be thankful that as bad as the Lakers have been playing the past two games, that Utah hasn't been playing much better (with the exception of the OT loss tonight at San Antonio).

utah's lost a bunch of squeakers, and iirc, the stretch that was supposed to put the lakers firmly in front of them is just about over.

Roos...you do realize this is the Washington Gene...Wizards, right? This isn't some defensive juggernaut of a team.

Kobe with a bad ankle and Nash are both on the perimeter and there is zero excuse not to create for your big guy in the middle...none!

The Lakers should be ashamed of themselves for losing this game. I hope it ruins all their Friday nights. :man10: Also, freaking Trevor Ariza comin in and tearing our hearts out, yet I still can't hate the guy, want him back on this team.

wiz are ranked 7th in defense i think and have stepped up since wall came back. they had a huge lead and stepped off the gas and made stupid turnovers and gave them the game.

dantoni's timeout in teh 3rd with 30 seconds left was beyond stupid and there was no strategy in the end of the 4th. kobe iso who was missing shots and FT's wasnt smart. dwight was dominating and nash could have hit shots that kobe wasnt. meeks jumper was golden tonight too.

and of course jamison gets injured right when hes balling like crazy and really stepping into his role.

first half lakers minus the turnovers was awesome to see. 2nd half complete opposite. end of 4th quarter...pathetic. 1v5 everytime

The Lakers is just like a terrible relationship... You wanna stay away, but you love them soo much you can't stop watching/supporting them. I wanna be done with them, but I just get sucked into watching their games.............

I realize it.... just reporting what I saw.... they clogged the paint and started making shots. Both of those things limited limited our opportunities to get him the ball.

If the Generals had been making their shots from the start we'd have been in a tight game most of the night. We didn't lose this one on the offensive end. They carved us up just about at will. In the first quarter they shot 25%.... the rest of the game they didn't. The shots were pretty much the same....

Actually the Wizards are exactly that, a defensive juggernaut. Don't assume they're bad at everything just because they don't have a good record.

I'd rather go with "pathetic team". As in, it can be stupid, it can be weak, it can be delusional about itself...
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.
