Well, I guess Young actually scored some points today and even had 3 steals. That's something.

2 blow outs in 4 games. :disagree: I think it's time to start shortening the rotation a little bit. Williams needs to sit, not hitting shots consistently enough, Nash just needs to sit period and not get up until he finds the fountain of youth. Start Hill. The starting unit is starving for energy especially on the road and hate to say it but he's our best bet for that solution. But something has to be done. The starting unit is loosing games from the tip off.

Steve Nash is physically done.
Pau Gasol is mentally done.

This was actually a good game in the regard that it showed just how much we need the high energy guys playing from the start of the game. Wes, X, Jordons, Kaman to start. Meeks, Young, Blake to rotate in and let the other bigs fight for time.

Well, this isn't rocket science; the PG & SG position are two of the most athletic positions in basketball. We are starting Blake & Nash...two of the slowest, nonathletic PG & SG combinations in the league. We're going to get eaten up on a nightly basis by bigger, faster, quicker, flat out better guards...just like we did with Monta tonight. It's going to be an uphill battle when the bench comes in and has to fight to get back into the game because our starting backcourt is horrendous.

This needs to change...we need to change personnel by trading or just flat out sitting Nash or Blake and stop playing them together. There needs to be a drastic change in that regard. At the very least, we need some fresh, young, energetic legs that can at least battle defensively. I'm tired of seeing this combinations play together...until MDA adjusts that backcourt, if he ever does, we'll continue to see these blowouts night in and night out because of the defensive ineptitude by the two Steve's.

Another thing; I will say this; Pau needs to be traded...we've seen his best years, and I'm grateful for all that he has done, but the time has come to move the Spaniard...we need defensive rebounding, rim protection, and a lot more athleticism at the 5 position right now...with Pau it's just not working right now. It's been time to part ways; nevertheless, we have been unable to successfully move him after the Paul trade was rescinded by the commissioner.

Either way, we need a change badly; at the PG, SG, and Center position...we'll see how the rest of this trip goes, but it sure doesn't look too good right now....

Older players on a team should be role players or warming the bench with veteran leadership. This Lakers team is proving that depending on them too much will end with bad results. Our core needs to get younger and more athletic.

Nash sucks, Blake sucks, Pau is soft and lazy, and where the hell did preseason Shawne Williams go? It's like he completely vanished. The Steve's are killing us though, they should not be starting together, or playing together at all.

Aside from that though, I'm not upset with these losses, I expected them from the beginning. We have a lot of young, inexperienced players we rely on, they are not good on the road, it was something I knew was likely. And hey, we're still better than last season so far with no Kobe. Can't get any worse than last season for me, the infighting is gone, and even if we lose this time we just get a better draft pick. Win, lose, either way we benefit in some way long term.

My WMC until we're good and fun to watch again will always be hating having to pay $112 a month to watch this train wreck. I don't watch tv at all otherwise. At least when we sucked the games were free to watch. KCAL I miss youuuuu <3

I can't wait for next season to get rid of the old and non -athletic garbage in Nash/Pau/Blake ....

It's time to stop ballin when you allow Monta to have a Lebron like game efficiency wise.

As usual Weezy, you're dead on.

This team was destined to be a bad road team, if not just a bad team. No surprises yet. I wish they had more heart than they showed last night, but it is what it is.

I'm definitely looking forward to Nash retiring sometime this year though. It's clear that he's done. At least that'd give us one less Steve to worry about getting minutes. So far Blake leads our team in minutes for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Yeah, I really want Kobe to pull a Rose and chill. I know it will suck for him not to play and he'll have to be practicing every day or playing pick-up games somewhere, but this seems a little unnecessary for him to come back. Let this team down what it was built to do....win some and lose some (hopefully lose more). Getting someone good in this draft is the key, then signing people is key, and Kobe being healthy is a sell, and firing MDA is a sell too.

We know you are amazing Kobe, we know you can do it....but this is one point we don't want you to just because you could make things worse for yourself and we could really use you more next year than this year.

after last night, it's much easier for me to go thru the schedule and x-out where we're gonna lose...all those games that begin with '@' are blowout losses

i knew we would struggle but i didn't realize we were gonna be this bad on the road

The road woes can be fixed to some degree. We have to have a high energy determined starting five. We won't be a great road team for awhile..lol but it does not have to be this bad. The Steves and Pau can't be on the floor at the same time. I watch these games with my friends at the local pub most of the time and they are all haters. I need some ammunition. When your bench is scoring in the 70's and your starters need garbage time to break 30 something has to change.

Hurts, don't it?

My TWC promotional rate just ended, so I'm in the same boat.

Hard to justify paying that much just to watch my two favorite sports teams, viz., Lakers and Denver Broncos, during their respective seasons.

Aside from the games I watch, I'm basically just paying a cable company to spam me to death with endless commercials.

+1.

I'd rather see Kobe sit out the entire season than waste one drop of whatever he might have left in the tank propping up the garbage we witnessed last night.

Wait until next season when, hopefully, we get him some help.

^ you have a good point, but that is not happening, sitting entire year at age of 35 coming off big injury like achilles, not happening, you already know that Kobe will be back asap no matter what team we have, but i agree, this team is just bad and he will have all this bs on his shoulders, and all eyes will be on him, damn...
