KEVIN DING ‏@KevinDing
Kobe said Joey Crawford was far away as Kobe had what he called "a civil conversation" with another ref.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter
When pressed on reaching 16: "I just don't get 'em." RT @KevinDing: Kobe talked to ref J. Crawford re 14th T: "That tech will be rescinded."

anytime a T is rescinded, the ref who call the T should get fined!

LOL...good luck with that.

As long as Adolph Stern is running things, accountability will continue to be a one way street.

That'll just lead to no T's being rescinded.

I don't mind Refs throwing T's when players curse them out or swing their arms at them (as the new rule states). However, I have issue when a player getting a T when the player is not targeting the ref, is trying to walk away and has a momentary burst but is moving on. OJ Mayo's T from the other night comes to mind. Dwight got a T for yelling "He is grabbing my arm man". The refs are to manage the game not influence it which has been what happens with this calls/no-calls and these quick T's. Officiating has to much of a hand in the game in my opinion.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Kobe's technical foul last night was rescinded by the NBA. He is back down to 13. If he gets to 16, he is suspended one game.

Did Joey tell him he couldn't speak to the refs if he wanted to avoid a tech or something? That's only reason I could see for him calling it from the other side of the court without being able to hear anything said..

Joey and Kobe talked before the 3rd quarter started and Joey said that he would right down his technical foul he gave him before halftime so that it would be resended so I am not surprised.

This is what Kobe said in the post-game interview.

it doesn't matter. Kobe is a team captain he is allowed to talk to the refs at anytime. Doesn't mean he can yell at them or anything like that but he can talk to them which is what he was doing.

^no it was as he was walking off the court. He just finished talking to one ref and right before they cut away to commercial you hear a whistle and Kobe is looking back but that is it.

^from what I understood Kobe was nowhere near Joey. I think James said, Joy saw Kobe moving his arms and thought he was being aggressive with the other ref so he T'd him. Im not 100% on that because It cut away as Kobe was looking back. At the time the TWC feed showed Kobe talking to the other official and then Kobe walked away. There was nothing in the conversation that was animated. All of a sudden you here a whistle far enough away from Kobe that he didn't react initially. That says a lot.

Steph Curry went off tonight.

I put this here because it gives you some perspective on how crazy having 81 points or 62 through 3 quarters is.

It took Curry making 10 threes to not be the best in MSG.

10 threes was the best in MSG though. Pretty impressive.
