96-97 for me, Shaq and some high school guy :man10: , I'll be honest I didn't think much of Kobe was an eddie jones fan. But still that was my most anticipated season followed by 99 (this lived to every expectation, from the lows Por forcing gm 7 and going into 4th qtr down big to the high with the comeback)

1996-1997 - Shaq arrived (and Kobe showing his potential was huge icing on the cake)
2003-2004 - Was so excited to see the super-team but as others have said, I was bummed the way the season finished. Probably the most excited I've been before a season.
2008-2009 - even though we lost against Boston, I was positive with Drew back we were going to win it all that year. Thankfully I was right and got to go to the season opener at Staples too.
2009-2010 - pretty excited to get Ron, as he was arguably my favorite non-Laker in the league at the time. Knew we were gonna repeat with him too.
2012-2013 - pumped to see this team with Nash and Jamison on the squad. It's definitely going to be an interesting year ... should be a lot of entertaining basketball

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Well I'd say my love of basketball has been constantly growing (not necessarily because of the NBA, a lot of it comes from playing myself with my friends and in HS and now in college) with the years, so I guess logically this next one is my most highly anticipated season.
But if I had to put it in terms of off-season moves / previous seasons' results I'd agree with the lists almost everyone here posted (97', '04. '09 and so on)
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.

2001-2002: Would we really three-peat? :man11:
2008-2009: What are we going to be like with Gasol for a season? :man13:
2009-2010: No excuses this time Boston. We're going back to back. :mad1:
1996-1997: Shaq-diesel. Kobe?

2008-2009: I just knew we were going to win the chip this season, especially with Drew coming back and the Lakers being even more hungry for a title.

2009-2010: I was really excited about the Artest signing and thought it was a perfect scenario when we would likely meet Cleveland in the Finals. Surprisingly it was the Celtics, and it was great having our sweet revenge.

2012-2013: Seeing Nash playing with Kobe says it all.

I'd have to say number one for me is 2003-2004 followed by the 2008-2009 where we all knew we were going to be contenders, if not favorites.

Yup disregard my last post, this is the year.
There are two teams that play in the Staples Center:
the LA Lakers and NBA Clippers.

After today, and essentially boycotting all NBA related TV last year, I'd have to put this season right up there with '75.
