This is a high-school game now.

I was thinking the same when I didn't see him coming in with the others.

I don't think anything can be worst for a player than a DNP.

It's the only explanation at this point....

Jamison should've played the entire 4th quarter instead of Pau. Not garbage minutes.

Morris had 8 points tonight on 4/6 shooting, added 4 boards and 2 assists, and he's being talked about like he was garbage... why? :man3:

This lineup might be the worst 5 ever on the court at the same time for any team this season

Sacre blatantly inbounded the ball from inside the out of bounds line. :man10:

I thought something similar. MDA has said he expects a lot from Antwain late in the season and in the playoffs.

There is a need to have another Luke. But he never had a 3pt. orgy night so it's a higher standard of bench strength.

Alright, maybe they are saving him for after the all-star break. That would make sense.

I disagree, if I were a 15 year veteran with a career average of 19 and 8, that joined a team to contribute to a championship, I'd be more insulted at being thrown in during garbage time with scrubs than a DNP.

Will Antawn Jamison ever crack the Lakers rotation again? Mike D'Antoni addressed it today at shootaround ...
"Probably," D'Antoni said, simply, when asked if Jamison would get a chance to cut his DNP-CD streak anytime in the near future. "Everybody gets another chance. We’re playing nine guys and I’m really liking Metta (World Peace) going and making us small. I like that. We don’t want to lose Antawn because he does what he does, but Darius (Morris), I want to keep developing him. His defense, his energy, his stuff of that sort. But, we’ll see. Antawn is ready to roll if we need him."

In so many words, D'Antoni is choosing the defense of Morris, World Peace, Jordan Hill and Jodie Meeks as back-ups in the SG, SF and PF roles over any offense Jamison would bring.

Jamison is averaging 7.2 points and 4.5 rebounds on the season and once had a stretch of scoring double digits in six out of seven games (including a 33-point explosion in a 19-point win over Denver) but hasn't played a minute in the Lakers' last four games.

"I’m sure he wants to play, as does any player wants to play, but he’s great," D'Antoni said. "He’s a professional and he knows his chance will come around." about 8 hours ago

Quick Recap
The Lakers put a beating on the Trailblazers to move into a tie with Portland. The Lakers jumped out to a big lead early. They built it to 14 points at the half, 22 points after three, and coasted to victory. LA moves to 15-15 with the win, while Portland falls to 14-14.

Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, and Dwight Howard all rested the entire fourth quarter in light of the massive lead. Pau Gasol played only sparingly in the fourth, finishing with 15 points, 9 boards, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. The Lakers move into a virtual tie with Minnesota and Portland with the win.

The Lakers are off until the new year. This gives them a few days to rest. This is welcome news for the resurgent Lakres. Pau Gasol, for instance, could really use it as he deals with plantar fasciitis. About the only bad new for the Lakers was that Kobe's 30-point streak stopped, as he hit 9 of 18 FGs for 27 points in 31 minutes of play. It is worth noting that the Lakers won despite shooting 7-24 (29%) on threes.

Jamaal Wilkes had a business mind and used his Lakers cash to invest and now he is independent. Quite the example.

I noticed that too... Until I looked a little closer, and I noticed that one foot is out of bounds, and the other is just barely lifted like an inch off the ground :man10:
