I thought it was common knowledge that Jim is the one that makes personnel decisions, especial coaching choices. I even think there was an article on this.
Also, considering the latest Mitch interview on the differences between Jerry and Jim - I don't feel the respect and do feel some resentment.

Hmm... I think the drama around the personnel and coaching choices is waaaay over blown. If Mitch wasn't making the decisions why have him..... or better yet... why stay if he's just a "figure head"? Only in Lakerville can every bad decision be made by the "Villain" and every good one be made by the "Hero".....
