The refs screwed us throughout the game....but when it comes down to it, we missed shots we needed to make. That's the only way you can win some nights.

This game really illustrates the inconsistency of the Lakers throughout the season thus far. Start off strong defensively and challenging everything, shutting down Chicago, decent offense...and then they shut it down. No defense, horrible play from the bench and just plain "blah". Then they hang around, trade baskets and don't turn in on until there's only three minutes left. LOL. WOW.

I will say this though. Tonight was NOT on Gasol at all. Guy showed up to play, hit his shots and challenged Chicago on defense. Awful offense from Ron, inconsistent bench play and horrible ball handling during the second quarter did LA in.

dont know how to feel about this lose. Lakers look average when they play the above .500 teams.

How do they go from 110 a game to 87 per game. Because good teams and Gasoft being back.

14 point lead to Denver. Blown.
19 point lead to the Jazz (5 point lead with a minute 30), blown.
12 point lead against Houston. Blown.
13 point lead against the Bulls. Blown.

As I have posted for several weeks. 57 wins at most for this team. And the 3rd best record in the West, with Boston or Miami having home court in the finals. Without home court, no ring. Period. Same as last year. Home team was going to win that ring.

This is Buss's fault. Too much of an investment to tire out Gasoft and Odom this early. Now if Bynum gets hurt again this wasted season will be on Buss.

I hope Ratliff and Bynum coming back would change some things... like rebounding, more second chance points, and forcing other teams to be a jump shooting team.

People waiting on Bynum.. lol he can't carry anything. He'll play 20 weak minutes and Odom will still have to come in for him to finish the game with Gasol getting handled at the C spot.

We lost in 2nd qtr...

I'm fine with waiting on Bynum. He needs some good workouts (games) to get back in good shape. It's still early in the season.

Amazing isn't it? So simple to see and yet the top brass just blow it off.. shows that the almighty $$$ over rides everything else thus no backup 5 signed...
