This is true. I've noticed the same thing. Blake is still not hitting the jumpshot with enough regularity; so Pau can give him some space and offer it to him. If Blake beats you hitting jumpshots, there is nothing you can do.

That said, this game comes down to defense & pace. Giving effort on the defense end, contesting shots, and at least communicating & showing effort are vital tonight if we want to win this game. Pace is important. The Clippers love to play at a fast pace for 48 minutes. We have to control the tempo because we simply cannot keep up with them.

I think Lakers win tonight in a very tight game.

True. I'm concerned about Pau's P&R D though, it's been awful all season long

There will have to be defense tonight. Can't have turnstile defenders in the paint because Blake will be looking for new beotches to conquer. There is the peripheral game too that needs to be contended and they have the guns to shred the net. There is no consistent outside shooting pressure on D. Teams always get their spacing and wide open looks. It's all a big gamble to let them throw the dice and we always lose.

I'm not going to call a win or loss...all I want to see is this team compete. I don't want to see Dwight playing like he's in a coma, Pau playing like a female, Kobe playing like defense is an after-thought...

Show some passion, show some fire. If the shots aren't falling, fine. But the effort (especially on the defensive end) has to be there. Just play like you give a damn.

I have heard on AM710 and a tweet from Mike Trudell that because Metta is going to go back to starting that Jamison will probably be getting some playing time this game. Which could be good.

Crawford out for this game.....i dont like to see any player injured but in this case i am happy......he is one of their biggest advantages against us so i am glad to see him out

The key will be for Nash to put pressure on CP3 to play both ends.... Same with Pau.... he needs to force Biff to play some D. Kobe can't let Butler get going and Howard needs to come out ready tonight.
