I really don't see this happening anymore. What corner is there to turn? Lakers have shown that they *can* play well, but even at their best they are still riddled with mistakes and carelessness for chunks of time. Expecting the Lakers to 'turn the corner' at this point is like asking Dwight Howard to just hit 80% of his free throws.

You are what your record is. The Lakers should not be expected to make the playoffs.

A below .500 team in disarray that just came back from a 16 point deficit against a team coming off a 16 game winning streak....

Put the Clips in the half court and against a team that can game plan for them for a 7 game series and you'll see what I mean.
