No idea. I guess he figured that he misses, the Lakers get a rebound, and take another three to tie. But it was badly executed. I'd have preferred that he make it and the lakers foul them immediately and make them earn it. By missing on purpose, there was going to be scramble and time might have run out before possession was secured by either team.

Not a good move, IMO.

They didn't lose because of the refs but, yes, they got shafted. Randolph got away with murder and it wasn't just once. But scrub teams, or at least teams perceived as full of scrubs, get officiated differently by refs. They don't get the benefit of the doubt -- at all.

Exactly, there was still enough time on the clock for one more chance to foul and hope they miss.

If there were like 1 or 2 seconds left, I could understand, but there were 6 seconds left, right? Weird, I guess we got demoralized by Randolph, so we didn't wanna win. :man3:

Rise above it...good teams do, but we're not, so refs mistakes are more pronounced
