I think 1 ring is enough for most of the Laker rosters.

Perplexing.

Regarding #2, our bigs are always outplayed by smaller front lines. Even if we match them statistically or win statistically, night in and night out our big men get outplayed by smaller, less talented opponents. It's a joke. Pau, Bynum and LO? No team in the league can match those 3 big men in talent, unfortunately their hearts aren't as big as their size.

Pau Gasol is the #1 reason why this team isn't better than its been. He's just off, maybe his injuries, maybe he's over-worked... but Lakers are in trouble. I haven't seen anything from them in two months that tells me they are better than Cleveland or Denver.

he does look like a shell of himself. FT shooting, outside shooting looks suspect and i haven't seen a good facial dunk from him this season.

This season has the look of that 86 Laker team...

No there's definitely problems that need addressing.

1. JR has always been a devastating offensive threat as has Billups if given the opportunity.

2. What K-Mart, Nene and Anderson give up in height they make up for with energy and just plain physical play.

Yeah, he comes up with mis-plays late in games all the time, whether its a fumbled pass, a missed layup, missed free throws, not being aggressive, its like that in every game... they don't look fluid at all.

But in the back of my mind I keep thinking of the 01 team that turned it on. We'll see if Phil can get them to start playing better, b/c they haven't looked good at all...

I expect another loss minimum before the break, which puts them back toward the pack. If Denver does finish with the #1 seed, they'll be favorites to win the west.

Sooooo I'm just wondering if anyone else like me is thinking the same thing Mark Jackson was thinking with 2:42 left to play in the fourth. What in God's name was Sasha doing out on the floor? I mean Phil needs to make up his mind. If you're going to include him in the rotation, then include him in the rotation. I can understand benching your backup bigs (DJ, JP) and only calling upon them strictly when needed for injury or foul duty, but to expect a pure shooter to be instant offense when he rarely sees minutes doesn't seem like great preparation if you ask me. I'm not defending Sasha missing wide open 3s (and they were WIDE open) but to bench a shooter one game and then expect him to come out an perform the next against a very tough opponent seems like a bad decision to me. Fisher can't keep up with Billups or Lawson? I fail to see how a combination of Jordan, Shannon, Kobe, Ron and Luke can't get it done at the 1, 2 and 3. Why was there a need for Sasha to play?

If healthy and if having a good flow we are still the best team in the NBA and I still don't see us losing a 7 game series against any team in the west anyway...even in the east I don't see it.

We don't have to be good NOW, we have to be good going into the playoffs and nobody understands this better than Phil Jackson to get his team the necessary momentum when its time.

I agree, I am a little concerned, because our motivation seems so empty. It's tough times in Laker land right now, but we're not dead yet.

I agree as well. Good Night CL, got get some rest for tomorrow's tough game on the road :freak2:

I don't believe in jinxes.

That being said, I will never ever post in the gameday thread before the game starts ever again.

Fisher sucks

2-7 FG, 0 assists. Seriously, a starting point guard for a championship team that cant even pass...
