Jordan Hill and Mcbobs are the only two bigs that can play pick and roll defense. Problem is well....they aren't exactly going to light it up on offense.

Now DeJuan Blair is in, please put Bynum back so he could get 30 rebounds again

We can't beat them in the playoffs, but I'm hoping we at least make an entertaining series out of it.

What I was trying to say was..... that they are the only bigs athletic enough to play Pick and Roll defense the way it is supposed to be played. Parker would still pick it apart, but those two would be in better position to show high and recover faster then Pau/Bynum would.

The main problem with a very high percentage of the Lakers losses is.... EFFORT. When the Lakers don't get calls or whatever, the do not turn to the mental fortitude that should have been bestowed upon them for winning back-to-back championships. They turn to pouting, wimpering and complaining to any and everyone. And I might get some flack for saying this, but Kobe is now the worst ball stopper in league. I mean that dude gets the ball and, if its not a jump pass, will hold the ball and dribble into trouble and either turn the ball over or force up a bad shot he might make. Then Bynum... when he is frustrated, he 1) stops playing defense and then 2) starts rushing his post moves, which result in just throwing something at the rim or turning the ball over. Where is Pau? Why is this loss happening more and more often now? This team is the definition of an enigma and it all starts and finishes with their effort. Whenever you see them playing hard consistently throughout the game, they usually win. But no effort and it is probably a blowout loss regardless of who they play. Depressing

I don't know.... to me it's part scheme and part execution.... you can try as hard as you want but if 3 Lakers are guarding Parker and no one is on Manu it does't seem to have much to do with effort......

I'm not saying it's not a scheme issue, it is, but it's more of an effort issue than that. The Spurs did a good job of collapsing our D with penetration. But there were plenty of other spots where effort wasn't there.

Simply put, it's an effort thing with the Lakers at this point.

Looks like the same team that lost to Dallas in 4 last season. No passion, no urgency. Lots of arrogance and go-through-motion attitudes.

Maybe we need to try and take the ball out of Parker's hands..... who knows...

He's one of the few out there still going full speed. I cut him a break for the effort. The airball was clearly just a lack of legs from running so much.

One of our problems all year has been finding bench production.... While our front office did a couple things well this year they also struck out on getting help for our bench.. Diaw, Robinson and Pietrus all were available and all would have really helped us yet we didn't even try for any of them as far as I know... We also pinched pennies to the point of losing out on Beasely....

Why doesn't Mcbob take that shot more often? It would open up so much more for everyone else. Confidence, hopefully he saw one go in and says hey I'm going to shoot this next time if I get it.

hey mb...see that floater from glock? yeah you can use that in your offense when it gets stale in the 2nd unit. idiot
