Home game after a tough 2 games on the road with losses. Not to mention we are on a 5 game losing streak. I feel sorry OKC. We got this win in the bag.

Believe in miracles. This could be a trap game for OKC. Hey, why not, I can dream. Some Laker could have a career night. Monkeys could fly out of my butt. :man10: Whatever, you never know even though the odds are against you.

QUICK PREVIEW
Lakers (15-20) vs. Thunder (27-8)
10:30 PM EST

LAKERS
Lost last 5
10-8 at home
9-15 vs. West

PROBABLE STARTERS
Steve Nash 11.1 points, 8.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds
Darius Morris 4.9 points, 2.0 assists, 1.5 rebounds
Kobe Bryant 30.1 points, 4.8 assists, 5.1 rebounds
Metta World Peace 13.8 points, 1.5 assists, 5.9 rebounds
Robert Sacre 1.4 points, 0.2 assists, 1.0 rebounds

THUNDER
Won last 1
9-5 on the road
15-3 vs. West

PROBABLE STARTERS
Russell Westbrook 21.8 points, 8.5 assists, 5.1 rebounds
Thabo Sefolosha 7.5 points, 1.7 assists, 4.0 rebounds
Kevin Durant 28.1 points, 4.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds
Serge Ibaka 14.5 points, 0.4 assists, 8.4 rebounds
Kendrick Perkins 4.2 points, 1.4 assists, 5.6 rebounds

PREDICTION
Pau Gasol has not yet been cleared to return to basketball; if he is cleared, Sacre to the bench is the most likely move, and Gasol would play the 5. He could make a huge difference, as he has solid career averages, and last year averaged 18 points, 10 boards, 5 assists against the Thunder in the regular season. Admittedly, in the playoffs things were different: 12 points, 10 boards, and 3 assists.

Either way, it's hard to see the Lakers winning this game. LA's injured bigs make their bench weaker than it was to begin with. It is not easy to imagine the Lakers having an answer for Kevin Martin's shooting and Nick Collison's energy off the bench. That said, the Lakers were at least this short-handed when they went the distance and closed strong against the Spurs, and that was on the second night of a back to back for LA. Look for passionate play in a loss.

Thunder 106

OKC has won 7 of the last 9 again us since the 2011-2012 season .

One of our 2 wins was a miracle comeback and only two of the 7 losses were close .

We're a team OKC is just toying with ... that's the "new" reality of this matchup .

Things will be really ugly if our Lakers start defending after 3 quarters as usual

The Lakers have allowed 111 points during their five-game losing streak. The Thunder is the second highest scoring team w/ a 105.4 average.

Kobe/Nash & all of the scrubs will feed off the energy from the crowd. I say this W is ours. Big expectations for Mr. Clark today from everybody.

Lakers down 19 coming into the 4th... crawl back to within 4 with 2:00 to go, but two blown layups in a row by Morris and Metta allow OKC to prevail and win by 8.

Earl Clark gets 2 points and 6 rebounds in 21 minutes.

Kobe hits some incredible shots late, but is considered a ball hog once again.

Nash needs to shoot more.

Ebanks is useless.

Lakers need to go 32-14 the rest of the way for any playoff hopes. :man6:

We don't even have to play that good because denver, minny, portland, aren't really great teams. We are like 5 games back from 7/8 its not as bad as it seems.

I don't think I'm gonna be able to watch this game, I've got a very bad cold, fever yet freezing, coughing, sneezing, dizzy, soar throat, all that. If the Lakers get killed I'll feel even worse, if they keep it close and lose at the end it might kill me lol, I'm already very weak. So if I'm not in gameday I'm asleep or watching something else to keep my mind off the game, hoping for a miracle.

Shoot, is that the flu, I can never quite figure out the difference. I thought the flu was throwing up, loss of appetite, all that stuff. If I got the flu that's funny after me saying in the flu shot thread that I never get the shot because I never get the flu. :man10: Kinda wishing I'd gotten it now, if it might have prevented this.
