Bryant's Buzzer-Beater Buries Nuggets
Kobe Bryant sank a jumper as time expired to lift the Lakers to a 101-99 win over the Nuggets on Friday night. Bryant's basket rescued L.A., which saw a nine-point lead evaporate in the final two minutes. Shaquille O'Neal led the Lakers with 26 points and 11 rebounds.

Yes it was. From what I've heard, he is still going to play. I havn't heard anything about him not playing. I'm sure we'll hear more about this in the days to come.

I hop kobe will play, it's not a difficult game we've got to come back to win another 10 or more streak

you obviuosly dont know my method with reverse psychology so lemme give u a brief explanation of why i do this and how it works:

you see, if i say tha lakers will lose, they will win...why i do this? cuz it works...i think ive only done this 7 or 8 times, and i think we're perfect every time i use it...i havent used it for a while cuz it seemed ilke we didnt need it...but im feelin tha need for it now so imma use it...

this is alright news, actually, Kobe needs some time to worry about the case some of the time--he can't avoid it just by getting his adrenaline on...and especially with our record he can afford to get some leeway on his time...and this brings up the subject of Kareem Rush, can the guy contribute to us and contribute now? Denver is an easy team and Phil might start him or move Fisher up to the PG and Gary to the two. Still, Fisher's been struggling and getting him up to the lineup may just make things work. WE have a good enough already defensive starting lineup without Kobe and moving Rush there might help...a guy shooting 43% to 32% is definitely no comparison...

Here is a statistical statline...Rush shoots 54% from two point shots and only like 18% from threes...whew thats aight....but its sad not to have Kobe though, Kobe always, ALWAYS loved to score like hell against the Nuggets...its history...but he might play, though, hopefully....but if not Rush might be able to continue his talent that the guy shown against Dallas. Don't forget, he can SING.

I think we are underestimating Denver, they are doing very good this year. They are 3rd in the Midwest and 6th in the west. And they just beat a very good NO team by 22 points tonight.

I do think we will win, but it will be a difficult game, especially without Kobe.

Yes, this might be the game that gives Fisher and Rush the confidence needed to get back on track, alot of people are giving these two players a real hard time with their "seemingly" struggled season.

If Kobe does not play, these two will step up with confidence and regain their poised and swagger. This is actually a win-win situation for the Lakers in my opinon...

Very simple to me. We lost two in a row and are pissed. They are a good team but we have THE BEST team in the league today. We win, it won't be easy nor hard. When that clock hits zero we are up. Whether its 2 or 20 we are gonna win. We are NOT gonna lose three in a row, period.

LD2K, are you asking me... ?

Because if you are, I see that you agree with me...its true as a matter of fact since Rush would only be matched up against undersized guards Voshon Lenard and Jon Barry....and we always have a good home crowd...and with a gazillion days off they can easily win before they play 21 of 32 on the road come January, February and March.

ya this game could be fish's resurrection...hopefully it is, fish should probably be able to get a lotta shots especially with kobe not around

but i think we need to watch out for earl boykins, he always hits us in our soft spots on D which are the mid range shots, where shaq cant leave his man to stop the shot, and no body else is around either....it should not be as bad as last year because of payton nd malone, who are excellent defenders, be we ened to look out for those and open threes like the ones that stoudemire hit

we cant lose 3 in a row with this team...but denver is scary...i really dont like their CONFIDENCE coming into this game...

but is it ironic that kobe bryant's court date was set on tha day tha lakers play tha DENVER NUGGETS? i mean dont hate me for bein suspicious...its very weird and i wonder WHY they couldnt set kobe's court hearing for any of tha 5 days we had off....why couldnt they schedule it on december 17th or 18th? why december 19th? tha day we play DENVER at home? this is jus too weird...they want denver to win it is quite obvious...

But like I said, this game should be a GREAT game for us because it will allow the role players to step up and re-gain their confidence...

I seriously doubt the Lakers are gonna have any simpathy for the Nuggets after losing two games.. They will be well rested and hungry for a win.

Possibly, I see a solid game if anything, a win for sure.

This will DEFINATELY NOT BE EASY... Denver's stacked this year and with Kobe out, that makes it even more of a toss up..
