Seattle really started to get hot there in the late moments of the 2nd quarter and the Lakers are within 5 at halftime. This third quarter is going to be a test for this squad seeing as Shaq is done for the game... This 3rd quarter is going to decide the game in my prediction.

and that's if the others step it up big, if not then we are going to need a huge game from one of them, it is more probable to come from Payton since he has a reason to go off...it's his former team

Devean and Slava are doing well-- the rest are nowhere.

The Sonics are RAINING down threes on us-- but we keep answering. As long as we maintain stability during this surge of theirs, we'll we able to win it with a strong 4th quarter effort.

Start of 4th

Brian Cook came in and played some minutes for us in the 3rd-- didn't do too much, but played with confidence, which is always a great sign.

Kobe needs to play all of the 4th quarter if we want to win. When he went out for a few minutes in the 3rd, we had no offense. We need to keep him in so we at least have two offensive threats on the floor (Kobe and Gary).

I feel like we're gonna lose if we can't pick up our defense in the fourth, we are allowing too many damn 3 pointers, Shaq can't defend the low block since he's out of the game and Kobe needs to help Payton get the ball in the fourth and find the open guy or put the ball in the hole, simple as that. Too MANY offensive boards this team, too many open looks for the Sonics. We can score, but we need stops more than anything in the fourth. I hope Phil doesn't put in paper weight players!!! Otherwise it'll a L instead of a W.

It's absolutely no fun when the Lakers don't play any D.

It's absolutely no fun when they let guys shoot lights out from three point range.

It's absolutely no fun when the Lakers don't put a hand up on a single shot.

it's absolutely PATHETIC to see the Lakers just stink it up right at the Sonics court.

The Lakers will of course pay for it--the coaching staff is definitely in a grave mood, probably scolding some of the players as I'm typing this up.

:man11: This game will show what the bench and role players are really made of.. if they could only have dominated the game without Shaq and Karl, that would have been a real dagger for the rest of the league.. if they lose you can put an exclamation mark(!!) next to "Weak bench."
