Final

Devean made a bad inbounds pass and Kobe had to take a LONG three and he just missed it.

It happens though when you don't play any D...you just mess up the game, as champions, when your team puts itself in a bad position like that to play no D at the beginning and finally play it at the end...overall I think that this was the WORST effort put up by the Lakers...I saw stints of boredom and stints when they let the Sonics do what they wanted to do...and IT certainly wasn't Gary Payton's night.

But again, this was a lame duck win for the Sonics...we didn't have Shaq or Karl...what can I say? The injuries. They happen sometimes. But we were destined to win this game, and it all came down to Kobe's late-game heroics to Allen's. Allen won, but don't get too happy and narcistic about yourself Ray. This was only the first of things to come...but when we meet three other times, we'll win the other three. 3-1.....hahaha

Devean should have called a timeout. He still had two timeouts left. It's ok, we know Kobe showed his entire heart in this one... he still has it baby. I'm not dissapointed really, I mean you can't take away anything from the Sonics, especially Allen. Unbelievable game.

This team can not play any defense, at least on the road, to save their lives...

The defense is warmed-over crap!

It's tiring to witness it over and over and over and over....

I'm on the verge of becoming a Clipper fan.

Once again-- like I said, "Kobe bail us out".

They do it every close game and forget to play defense.

It's allright since we didn't have Shaq or Karl playing. I hope this injury pattern doesn't continue, especially in the playoffs.

First Karl, now Shaq is out. Gary and Kobe stepped up, but the defense still allowed Ray and the other Sonics to hit 3's and go inside. Sometimes the close games are worse than the blowouts, and this is one of them. At least the Lakers are playing the Clippers next at home (where else?), so we should get a win to make up for this heartbreaking loss. :man6:

guys, this could be the turning point of our team's success...

I hate to say it, but I think the team is really not focused w/out their inspiration (Karl Malone), and their big Aristotle (Shaq) to help back them up. Sure, if Shaq was there he would have made a sudden impact to the guys who drove to the paint but not only that but we were letting the Sonics shoot both threes and attack the basket. Overtly, we didn't play good D tonight...I just hope that the team forgets this game and moves on

Our defense did lose the game, certainly not our offense... but you can't take away anything from the Sonics, they played amazing... They can shoot the hell out of the ball.

all I know is that we play them again the 28th. So we all know what Allen is capable of...so the Lakers have to stop letting him knock down shot after shot, hopefully the game on the 28th will go differently

I don't know if you realized you used "Kobe" and "rape" in the same sentence :man10: .
