Kobe Bryant scored 42 points and Caron Butler posted 31 to match his season high as the Lakers upended the Sonics 117-94 in Seattle on Friday. L.A. led by one point after the first quarter but opened up a 14-point cushion by halftime and cruised from there.

What?

I still have some faith in them...yeah the win won't get them into the playoffs but I can't bring myself to root against them. The sonics will play down to our level and we'll pull away with an upset.
