Karl probably won't play... at earliest I'd say Sunday.

This should be a win. Might be tired though, starters played alot of minutes tonight

Ray Allen is the key for our defense. If we can "try" to stop him, or slow him down, we will be able to control the game alot more.

But as usual, the cocky SOB is going to torch us...

This is not going to be easy at all, and like I always say, this is another big game for the Lakers...

gp will be psyched for this one. its always extra motivation to have the opportunity to toast your old team. i think phil will keep him on the floor longer and give the glove more touches.

this is gp's game to win and prove his detractors wrong

this is how a 4 time nba champ gets it done

Yeah, I expect GP to either:

A) Get a triple-double, or close to one...
B) Get a double-double on alot of points

Either way, he's going to be big for us. I also expect Kobe to take the game over in the clutch once again. I say in the clutch because I really do think there's a big possibility of this game being close all the way to the end.

Besides, Kobe vs. Allen is one hell of a matchup to watch.

And no sense of urgency. With Kobe there playing with us, there will always be a strong thurst for winning. We will never be un-motivated. Kobe is a piece to this puzzle whom makes this team hungry...

This is going to be a tough game, but I believe Barry hit some clutch shots against us last time we played the Sonics to help aid his team to a win. Both their guards are injured, better news for us...

Malone to Return?

Seattle Times: Lakers forward Karl Malone will return tomorrow against Seattle, teammate Gary Payton told reporters in Los Angeles. Malone, who has been practicing for the past week, has been silent on his return from a torn ligament in his right knee. He has been out since Dec. 21.

Sorry to say this, but I will miss the game tonight as a problem within the family just popped up (nothing serious).

I will update the gameday forum LATE tonight, or EARLY tommorow morning.

If Malone returns, I'll be happy, but I doubt he will until the Utah game, so don't bet on it. As for the Sonics, LA would be wise to put them away early and not let them hang around because Seattle is a dangerous 3-point shooting team. It's time for the Lakers to stop messing around and start dominating other teams, with or without Karl. :man7:

I'd say a 30% he'll play today, 70% chance he'll play tomorrow, and 100000000% chance he'll return on Monday if not the other previous two days.
