so...let's recap...against 2 "defensive stoppers" -- Doug Christie and Trenton Hassell -- Kobe went for 71 points...and he didnt play too many minutes even because the games have had massive garbage time in the 4th quarter...aaaaahhh...i cant wait for the playoffs.
And Shaq....geez...if he rebounds and defends with this intensity, I can't help but flashback to the Indiana finals series when Shaq ate the entire Indiana team for dinner every night...
This was a great statement game by the Lakers. They really proved that they are playing well and that they could handle good teams...but now they should try to keep this up consistently. Good game Lakers, both defensely and offensively. It's cool, wouldn't have expected a blowout, but it came. Nice job.
Now that we've sent the message to the rest of the leauge, we're going to now take the 1st seed for home court advantage. The difference is their help defense, their jumping for the help, and this is allowing for the guards to recover. And the switches on the picks are beautiful.
We are looking like a true championship-calibar team right now. We're looking so good right now it's almost scary...
By the way, Kobe Bryant is unbelievable, he doesn't need a trophy to prove he's the best player in the leauge.
And lastly, Shaquille looks like he LOVES taking a step back and playing defense and grabbing down every board. This truly makes him more of a force than previous years, he can now focus on the other elements of the game outside of offense. He's unreal.
