Despite 31 points from Kobe Bryant, the Lakers fell to the Spurs 88-78 in their semifinal opener in San Antonio on Sunday. Shaquille O'Neal had 19 points and 13 rebounds and Karl Malone added 10 points and 11 boards. Game 2 tips off Wednesday (6 p.m. TNT).

I wanna see Duncan on the floor, I wanna see Frenchy decked and posterized by Payton. I wanna see Kobe hit shots over Bowen. I wanna see Ginugly get swatted and fall hard on the floor. I wanna see Horry go 0 - 38 on all his field goal attempts. I wanna blood on the Spurs jersey's, tears over their eyes, band-aids, casts and everything.

The LAKERS will WIN this game, and here's WHY. The guys who were on last year's team REMEMBER what it was like to LOSE the championship to the SPURS, so they'll put on their BEST performances in this series. KARL and GP will too, because they WANT to get a RING. As for the rookies, they'll GIVE it their ALL and HUSTLE like CRAZY. You saw what happens when the D is GREAT, holding the ROCKETS to 9 in the 3rd quarter. GO LAKERS! :jam2: :man1:

Yes, this is definately a must win, we cannot go down 0-2 like last year. Kobe needs to play team ball to be effective. He can't let Bowen get under his skin like in the last game. Just let the game come to him. I would like to see a lot of screens set for Kobe. I'm going to say close throughout, but of course the Lakers prevail in the end.

To see what people think. Biased fans will be biased - yes. But knowledgable fans will analyze the series and post their take on it.

Besides, we'll be getting alot of San Antonio fans in here for this series -- mark my words. It's on.

we gotta take either game 1 or 2. i think kobe will be totally fired up for this game and bowen won't be able to stop him. kobe loves playing in san antonio. hopefully our team will be rested and a lot less banged up than they have been. not sure how this week off is going to affect the spurs.

it will be interesting to see how the refs work the game. we need to avoid early fouls on shaq and malone. if we can do that we have a great chance to take that home court advantage away.

The first game is a must win for both teams, I hope the Lakers will win it cuz if we do..... Spurs will be scared because they won 15 and then lost the first game to the Lakers at home.

The way I want it to be:

Game 01: Lakers win
Game 02: Spurs win
Game 03: Lakers win
Game 04: Lakers win
Game 05: Spurs win
Game 06 or 07: Lakers win :jam2:
