Lakers Set to Host Game 3
The Lakers cut a 19-point deficit to two but couldn't get any closer, losing 95-85 in San Antonio on Wednesday in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Shaquille O'Neal was a force in the lane, dropping in 32 points and grabbing 15 boards for Los Angeles, which fell behind by 16 after one quarter. The Lakers host the Spurs in Game 3 at 12:30 p.m. Sunday (ABC).

For the Lakers to win, a few things must change from the last game. The most important being GP must step up. In Game 1, he hardly scored and didn't defend Parker well, that's unacceptable. He needs to make his layups and jump shots and not let Tony get past him. Malone needs to make his shots, he was open a lot but couldn't convert. Shaq must get going early and dominate Rasho, and he must not pick up early fouls and make his free throws. Kobe needs to continue to be aggressive and get his teammates involved. And the bench must be more productive. I hate to say it, but if the Lakers don't win Game 2, it's all but over. This Spurs team is beatable but it'll take 100% effort and I haven't seen that yet. :man5:

i always hate it whenthe lakers lose! grrrrrr... i think Phil shuld retire..the offense is hurting us..they have found many ways of stoping us. And we need somene wh can encourage us and defeat the bighead slurs(and that nasty frenchy farter)sorry fr the term..i just hate it when lakers lose..i think it's time to get serious

The most important thing in this series is EXECUTION...mark my words...who ever executes the best will win...because if u execute well you will not be clueless and turn the ball over. We executed well in the 3rd and got good looks. :man7:

Yes this is the first REAL must win of the post-season for us. We need to strike hard and fast and build a big enough lead to withstand a push from Duncrap, Ginugly, and Frenchy.
