Oh yeah baby... I called the blowout yesterday and it happened. This should serve a statement to those Spurs. And their strategy of taking the ball out of Parker's hands and him hitting the floor a few times worked very well.

I expect the same outcome in Game 4....

And yes, they were mostly set plays, pick and rolls, etc. especially with Payton in the beginning.

The only time they set up the triangle was when they had bench players on. But other than that, Phil went to Payton and Payton proved his worth to the ball club.

Reasons we won:
1) All 4 HOF's played great
2) Everyone played great defense, there was a lot more help on the pick n rolls
3) We shutdown Parker and Duncan-combined for 18 points
4) Phil made a lot of adjustments
5) Gary played a lot more his style of basketball, less triangle, more of him in the post.

Great game all around!

Watch all the fools who initially bounced off the Lakers bandwagon to now hop back on. They definitely don't bleed purple & gold. Bah!

Hindsight sucks. But if Phil could've made the adjustment to run with more set plays and involve Payton more after Game 1, then maybe Game 2 would've had a different outcome. Who knows. But glad to see GP rolling out his Seattle Shuffle while dishing out assists and racking up the points.

We still gotta put up a hand against the Sperms' 3-point shooters. Those bombers had way too many open looks.

Looking forward to Game 4. Let's take care of business at home, and go back and give the SBC center a rude awakening. Down, but not out. The fat lady hasn't grabbed the microphone yet...

Lakers are back. The last time they played this well, they went on to win 11 straight. Hopefully, this will fuel the Lakers to go on their own winning streak.

That's what I'm feeling right now but let's not be too overconfident.

We'll take it one game at a time, and right now, with this new offense with the triangle taking a back seat, we have a good chance.

As for the next game, Kobe's in court during the day. We haven't lost a game yet since he had those kinds of days, so put it on the bag, Game 4 is ours.

Doesnt sound good though. What happens if he doesnt make the game then??? :bang: Its a possibility although its unlikely. I sure hope he has the same kind of numbers he has after he arrives from court.
