He also said Phil doesnt want him on Parker because he wants him fresh in the fourth quarter. But on occasions he will guard Parker.

My game 3 predictions (not what I want but what I think will happen):
1st Q - Spurs come out strong with an initial lead sparked by Tony Parker. About half way through the Lakers warm-up and then end the quarter with a tie score.
2nd Q - play is pretty even, both teams go on little runs but the Lakers go into half time down by 5 points.
3rd Q - Lakers come out hot, as they have been, and dominate through the whole quarter. Lakers up by 10 points.
4th Q - Spurs start to make a run, cut the lead down to 2 then the Lakers rediscover how to close out games, supported by their home crowd, and go on a run to win by 12 points.

Final score 96-84 Lakers win

Shaq - quiet game, somewhere around 15 points
Kobe - on fire, more than 30 points
Karl - between 15 and 20 points, monster on the boards
GP - 4 points, spends most of the game whining
D-Fish - hits a couple timely shots in the 4th quarter to seal the game

"Basketball reasons" is as believable coming from Mitch Kupchak as it was coming from David Stern. #IWantedPhil

Shaq will dominate.
Kobe will use a lot of energy and stop Parker and then score about 15 - 25 points.
If Phil lets him GP will dominate on the low post or if not GP will do what he's been doing as of late.
Malone will not allow Duncan open or easy shots.
Gino will have an off night.
The Spurs bench will be outscored by our bench by Fisher and George alone.
What do you get when you fall in love? You only get lies and pain and sorrow.
I feel so much like giving up

I see Kobe and GP reversing roles for the first 3 quarters. Phil will utilize Payton more on the offense as Kobe defends Parker and expend his energy doing that. Kobe then takes over in the fourth and puts this team away.

Here's my prediction:

1st quarter:
Spurs are red hot and go up 12-2 before Phil calls time out.
Spurs 26 - Lakers 15

2nd quarter:
Lakers continue struggling in the beginning.. but light it up in the last 5 minutes to go on a 19-5 run.
Spurs 39 - Lakers 44

3rd quarter:
Both teams go back and forth and play evenly throughout.
Spurs 66 - Lakers 71

4th quarter:
Lakers quickly extend the lead to 11 and then battle evenly before Spurs cut it to 2 with 5 minutes remaining. However, Kobe and Shaq take over and the Lakers win by 13.

Final score: Spurs 78 - Lakers 91.

But ginofan is right, we better not be overconfident of ourselves.. must continue the intensity on Tuesday.

Is Kobe available to play on Tuesday?

Karl Malone won't be focused, Gary Payton continued his horrible way, Kobe gets shut down, and Parker is once again unstoppable. Lakers lose by 15

Okay,
I havent seen the Lakers fighting with fire in their eyes and determined aggression in their step. Even Coach Jackson doesnt seem to be in this series. The Lakers were good enough to get past Houston this way but they will surely loose against the Spurs. Also, they seem a coupla levels down in the "Team IQ" department. They are presented with problems out there but they just seem to react badly without any answers at all.
They are definately not Competing on the same level as the spurs. You look at the Spurs on the floor, on the bench, and in the coach's eyes and you see fire, determination, and energy. You look at the Lakers and you see apathy, frustration, confusion and a lack of desire.
The Laker Players seem to have put their egos above the game, the fans, and the Spurs.
Im really curious to see what moves Mr Buss will allow Mr Kupchak to make following this season. I only wish Mr Clutch was back on the payroll.

I called a Laker win in game 3 a when the series first started, and I'll stick with it. They will feel more comfortable at home, and from what I've been reading Phil is planning to ease up on the triangle and use more set plays. If he can get Gary more involved I think the Lakers could win by 7 in regulation time.
