I didn't say it when we were down 0-2, I didn't say it at game 5, but now I will -- this is a must win game for the Lakers.

Close this thing out in L.A. -- This is their chance. They must prevail.

This is the most important win in this series, I think we have play a nearly flawless game.
These are key points to KO the spurs.

1. Phil has to coach and stop momentum by calling TO's as SOON as momentum switches.

2. We barely won game 5 because Shaq was not effective offensively we have to establish him inside.

3. Shaq needs to hit free throws

4. Kobe and Malone pick and roll

5 Let other Spurs (Not Duncan and Parker) try to beat you.

6. Shaq has to hit those easy chippies

7. Bench has to contribute in any way.

8. Lakers have to play a good second half.

9. Payton and Malone need to be effective

10. The fans have to give the lakers the energy to play to their maximum.

Lakers 91 Spurs 84
Todays minimum is yesterdays maximum!

I want to see the Lakers play like they did in all of Game 3, the second half of Game 4, or the first 3 quarters of Game 5, with a lot of energy on D and offensive efficiency. Don't count the Spurs out, they'll be desperate and they must be taken care of early. The Lakers must remember what happened in Game 6 last year, so they can be motivated to close out this series, and also the home fans will be cheering, so that'll be a plus as well. Make the Spurs cry, Lakers! :jam2:

I think it's all agreed that this is a crucial game. Very vital, and it scares me for this reason. I think about a month and half back when we just finished capping off a 10 game winning streak. During that streak we captured the #1 seed in the WC. However, one early April day a certain team needing to establish momentum came into Staples.

They were on a winning streak of thier own, 5 games if I remember correctly. After a battle where both teams played well this team broke our streak and from there we continued to fall off, and lost our hold on home court throughout.

That team was The Spurs, we must close, cut thier hearts out, put yesterday's game behind us. Besides, if LA advances to the next round there will be another set of fresh legs looking to come at them. So they need rest also....

that's why I feel the way I do, can we kill The Spurs once and for all or are we merely a spring board for Spurs momentum wise.

The realistic Laker

Absolutely, no question about it, this is a MUST WIN. Man, we got the momentum going right now, but don't expect the Spurs to come out flat and discouraged. They very well could be, but don't count on it, Lakers have to play their best game of the year, and get 'em. There is no way we can afford this to go to game 7, there is no way. Man, i'm so amped for this. They got to come out firing and never stop. Kobe should play great, and I look for Shaq to dominate. Close 'em out while you have the chance. They can't overlook this game just because of the miracle shot last night, and neither can the fans, this series is not over. We can't make the mistake the Kings did 2 years ago. GO LAKERS! MURDER!

The Lakers have to come out strong and really make the Spurs doubt themselves. Jumping out to an early lead would be a huge psychological victory.

I have a feeling that it'll be a close game until the 4th when the Lakers will pull away with the victory in the last 5:00 minutes.

The problem with the Lakers is that, when they get Turnovers it leads to Spur Baskets almost 90% of the time.

Which is why they can't afford to get more than 5 TO's this game.

I'm definitely going to predit a 25-30 point blowout. This season is a total reversal of last season. Last season we went to SA, our buzzer beater didn't fall, we came home and lost by 28. This year, our buzzer beater did fall and we're going to go home and win by 28.
