The Lakers lead the series 1-0.

88% of NBA teams have won the first round when up 1-0 against the opposition.

I have a feeling the Lakers will win and go up 2-0 on the Rockets, but they need to hit their open shots. Houston is focused on Shaq and Kobe, so the other guys have to step up (like George, Fish, and Rush when they hit those big 3's) and Kobe needs to get going earlier in the game. And the team must take advantage of turnovers so the game won't be so close. :man7:

I really hope that every damn team in the playoffs doesnt double and triple team Kobe. It makes it impossible for the Lakers to truly get in the triangle and if Malone and Fox arent gonna hit their shots, we are going to have some problems on the road. But for game 2, the lakers will win and will play much better offensively. Kobe will be ready for the challenge, and Shaq is a monster on both ends.

At first game Lakers showed good D, but there was a low percentage of shooting that's why we need better place rotation in order to allow Kobe,Fox or GP shoot more from downtown.

Lakers must come out rolling and get an early lead. The momentum has shifted to Houston thats for sure. And Kobe must be the main focus in this game, he has to establish himself early and often like in the GS game. But it will be tight throughout again.

Lakers 85
Rockets 79

Kobe didn't really do that much offensively in the 1st half but just create open shots for his team. I liked that, because Kobe's so versitle. But in the 2nd half, Houston was just on, and our game sucked. The Lakers need to rememeber that this isn't just one half of good ball, it's a whole 4 quarters that they need to play. Like Kobe said, they need to put them away early, and Shaq needs to attack Yao and get him into foul trouble like he did. As long as the Lakers stick with their momentum, then we're be 2-0.

well here's a great stat. We know that the teams who win game 1 end up winning 88% of time the whole series, but did you know that Phil Jackson has never lost a series when having home court advantage AND whenever his team wins game 1, they are 10-0.

This win will be a lot prettier, and a good amount easier than Saturday's ugly game.

The way we play last game let me too worry our offense was POOR i hope the lakers blowout houston tomorow to shutdown all the people that are saying that the lakers that play last night wont win a championship

I hope Shaq to dominate like he did last game, but for 4 quarters not for 2 quarters, because in a moment of the game looks like he wasnt playing

I Hope KObe can do something against the double-team because if he doesnt we will be in trouble

I Hope production from Payton & Malone and the role players

I think that Im asking too much but I think that is the only way to win the championship

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :jam2:

Even after this bad bad game 1 I feel really confident in our team. The D was not bad at all and the offense will be way better in game 2. My guess 80-105 LA

I can't wait for tonight. I was walking around school today hold up a 1 in my left hand, and a zero in my right. For the people who knew what I was talking about, they started laughing (resembles the Lakers up in the series 1-0)

I'm very excited... Remember:

6:30 -- Fox Sports Net
7:30 -- TNT

Karl Ready?

Karl Malone, after going 3 for 14 in Game 1, shot jump shots Sunday until his fingertips bled. He was the last man off the court.

The Lakers didn't do any work as a unit, confining their "practice" to watching film and shooting. The people who have been favoring injuries, Malone among them, "are all better today than they were yesterday," Jackson said.

Also: O'Neal played 45 minutes Saturday, and Jackson insisted, "He won't play those kind of minutes again."
